The campaign is sick most of the multiplayer options is good and other players are mostly not toxic like other games. And the titan gameplay is special, it's not like titans are just big pilots with big guns. NO, each titan has unique abilities and unique weapons and playstyle. The environments and art direction are gorgeous — super epic, super creative, and just visually refreshing. The music is fantastic too! I only played the single-player campaign, and it was really good. Sure, it's short — maybe around 10 hours or so — but it's tight and well-paced. Every mission feels different, with new mechanics and fresh ideas that keep things interesting.
Personally, I found the movement mechanics — like wall-running and climbing — a bit tricky (I'm pretty clumsy with this stuff). But whenever I managed to pull off a tough section, it felt super rewarding.
The default Chinese voiceover is in Taiwanese Mandarin, which honestly felt a bit off and kinda funny to listen to — it kept breaking my immersion.
I absolutely love BT-7274! He's so adorable, and his interactions and banter with the protagonist are just the cutest. I often found myself not even boarding him and just treating him like a pet (maybe that's not the right word). The protagonist gets thrown around a lot (yes, really). But when BT got destroyed the first time, and then when his core was completely wiped out and all his data was gone the second time — I couldn't hold it together and just bawled my eyes out. "Cooper, trust me." At the end of the game, the protagonist says he'll get a new Titan, but he's already used to BT-7274. He might get a new one, but BT-7274 was unique to him and his original pilot, Captain Tai Lastimosa — and now he's completely gone. He has nothing left. All that remains of him is in people's memories, which will fade with time. But in the ending scene — the helmet flashes blue. Some say it's Morse code or binary. So... is BT-7274 not really gone? Is his data still out there? Is he calling out to Jack Cooper?
The chapters "Into The Abyss" with the World Foundry, and "Effect and Cause" with the time-shifting wrist device — the level design in those is absolutely stunning! So creative and fresh! I loved those levels! It felt like exploring a fragmented, puzzle-like world made of time and memory fragments.
Overall, this is one of those games that's hard to forget. After the ending, it leaves you with this lingering emptiness that sticks with you for a long time.

The gameplay is easily the highlight, with the movement, gunplay, and Titan combat all feeling incredibly smooth and satisfying. Hands down this is some of the best FPS gameplay of its generation with tight controls, very kinetic gameplay, fun mech v mech combat and easily some of the coolest level and parkour setups in a first person title in the past decade.
For the price it goes on sale at it's definitely worth trying if you have any remote interest in an FPS title. Also did I mention it runs very well on a Steam Deck?
