A lot of the reviews seem to be a bit over the top.
So the story is nice enough, a little sad at times, but very short.
Very little gameplay. Walk around for a couple minutes then cut scene. Yes i understand its a story rich game but to put adventure and exploration in the tags is a push. If you prefer watching a movie to playing games it will suit you. It babysits you through the "gameplay" as well, basically just pressing w most of the time.

I really appreciated the story telling and the characters involved. Do wish for slightly more choice in some places, but this is very much Alfred's story and we're going along with it.
There are a BUNCH of achievements that I'm probably not going to bother with, although good to know there's at least a couple of well hidden (well, hidden from me at least) things to find.

It was so raw and so reflective on the nature of grief and loss and love. For every part that was sad, there was a part that was brimming with hope, and the possibilities for the future. I use the word game loosely because it really is a story that is interactive. Although there are some decisions to make in it. I don't know if there are different outcomes based on those choices because I just finished my first playthrough of it.
However, I found this story rewarding, warm, and riveting throughout. It only took me 4 hours to finish it. This is definitely one that you'll play once and you may not again until its been long enough that you don't remember the details. Again, not sure if choices make any different endings but considering the story in all that I saw, I can't imagine a much different ending.
Highly recommended if you love a good, emotional story. A good game to sit close with your romantic partner and follow along together. Definitely don't close out of the game when the credits roll. You can speed them up with right-click and there is a bit more to the ending. I would think you might see different things based on what you took photos of during your journey. It's a well-written story with sincere dialogue and a fundamentally human narrative. The chapters aren't too long and the settings vary a lot from stop to stop, all beautiful by the way.
The voice acting is excellent too, and the game reminded me a lot of the best parts of Life is Strange 2, but with its own personality and identity.
The game is beautiful, made with heart, without a doubt a must play. And if you can, play it with your partner.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\ti have a soft spot for these cozy, story-rich games. i had high hopes when i first heard of the game before release, and i’m glad to say the game exceeded my expectations. at the start it felt like any other sappy story with some cheesy lines, but as you keep playing and connect with the characters they start to grow on you. it’s like there was a shift towards the end and those cheesy characters became relatable and the game had more of an impact. definitely feels like a game that executed a slow plot build-up wonderfully.

It's a deeply emotional, heartfelt story that feels incredibly human and genuine. The characters, the little moments along the journey, the beautiful environments... everything comes together so naturally.
It made me cry my eyes out, but what stayed with me wasn't sadness. It was the beauty of the story, the warmth of its characters, and the feeling of having experienced something truly special.

This is the most emotional game for me since TWD Telltale games. I can't recommend you to play this if you are heartbroken or lost someone recently. Play the game with a clear mind. Otherwise I don't know where you guys might end up. Congratulations to the developers, you really nailed the emotions with that trip.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tThe critic in me says that i would have wished the characters to be a bit more interesting, especially Audrey. Alfred pointed out several times how different he thought she was, but i did not really see that reflected in anything we learned about her. Their story and relationship (at least as much as was told about it) seemed very straightforward to me. There are also some minor issues / bugs that i came across that will probably be fixed soon though.
All of this said, what made the game valuable to me was that it made me reflect on my own life and relationships in ways that were new to me. And for that reason alone i was happy to experience it. It is indeed more of an experience than a game. Some people will not like that, but i'm a fan of story rich games that touch serious issues in a respectful and competent manner. And in that way i think the game succeeded.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
