It will be left in Early Access forever. New Buyers wouldn't know this unless they checked discussions first, which most don't. The Devs had said "well if you aren't happy with this, sorry, Steam sets the refund policy not us." Which is true, but what they could set is the price for a game they have admitted to be abandoned to reflect the fact it has less content than many of those 5$ puzzle hentai games that roll out twice a week on the front page, and publicly announce on the store page it has been abandoned.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

The devs haven't done anything substantial with the game, kept buyers in the dark for months and have said that they are not working on it, and you ONLY find this out in the discussions, where a potential buyer would not typically go to check. Despite this it's still being put on sale and in bundles and they've withheld the fact that they aren't working on the game anymore from both the store and game news page. It's an extremely scummy thing to do.
I really wanted to put some faith in this game because the concept IS good but abandonware is not worth spending money on, even when it's on sale and at this point there are other promising Early Access games to be keeping an eye on.

I hope I can still refund this but I doubt it, waste of money, disappointed in this company, remove this from sale if it's not being developed anymore, since you took people's money and ran, or you want to keep scamming more people? The ratio of animals is completly out of balance: It isn't a healthy population (would be nice if it were more realistic). Only 15 bunnies and 8 wolves for example is not a realistic ratio.
Bunnies run away from each other all the time, doesn't make sense because they are group animals. Whereas the bears are solitary animals and are all the time together.
It would be great if you can show better how old animals are.
Some animals get pregnant and die before getting a chance to give birth.
A map would be handy.
A better way to cycle through the animals of one species, consistently having to hit ctrl is a burden. Also make it easier that you can see their perks.

Well yes it is in alpha so there will be mistakes, but the developers completely abandoned the game. (From what I have heard also not sure it is in alpha.) I also have so much feedback because I LOVE this idea of watching over animals and helping them survive, but when I bought the game and started playing it felt empty.. Again I know it is alpha. It just could have had more done to it. The controls annoy me but that's just my opinion. I think the developers could have continued this game and added more to improve it easily.

Gameplay is basically click animals, tell them to drink, eat or sleep, then timelapse to wait for needs to be fullfilled, have intercourse. That's it. Now you can't play for more than an hour without the game crashing and losing any progress you had made for the paltry 3 missions that last maybe 4-5 hours. I requested a refused but thanks to the automatic denial due to me "playing" for more than 30 minutes I'm stuck with this constantly reminding me why I need to wait for mostly full releases on amazing looking games. I let it sit for a bit bc nothing had come out and i was giving it a chance. Whelp now its 3 years later and still nothing. Can't get my money back b.c im way out of the period to get money back and as you can see, full early access stuff and with replaying a few times only amounted to 7hrs. I really hope one day they come back to it, or maybe someone else picks up the project but considering their last update said they wouldn't abandon the game it just seems really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ of them to then turn around and abandon it. Animals have three meters for their current hunger, thirst and energy (sleep). They can drink from any open water source, eat from dedicated spots on the ground (or in case of wolves other animals, or in case of bears both ground and animals), the same with sleeping. When all three meters are above 90%, the animal becomes ready for mating. This is the only action that requires the player's active input, because eating drinking and resting happens automatically.
The game offers some small challenges, such as diseases, hunters, dumped waste. Your job is always to survive all playable species.
This is an early access game, which results among other things in a quite heavy performance requirement. After an hour of play I generally relaunch the game because it tends to stutter then. And I was lucky to witness a bouncing car at some point!
I haven't mentioned I love the design of the forest! Yes it's only one map, but a lovely one.

In Natural instincts it's your job to make a species survive. These species currently consists of rabbits, wolves, boars, deers and bears. The game offers (version 1.0.6) a tutorial, a campaign for the first three mentioned animals each, and a free play mode. The instructions are read by a very pleasant, high quality voice, which greatly enriched my experience with the game. Animals have three meters for their current hunger, thirst and energy (sleep). The game offered me a very zen experience, although I felt a bit like the animals' babysitter. The game doesn't offer much gameplay, which is absolutely fine in my opinion. I read some comments that some people asked for city building tools. I'm not sure that's the course to go... I would rather like to see even more chillness in the form of a selectable option for automatic mating per species, maybe which unlocks after 50 manual matings. I rather see this game expand with more species, more events and more environments. This game is supposed to be an around ten-twenty hours experience. And that's what I like about this game, it's an experience, just hanging around in the forest. I'd like to suggest to the developer to keep it simple, and not complicate the game for the worse. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tTo start, I do recommend the game. I found it pretty peaceful, if extremely micro-managey when you're starting through the tutorial/campaign levels. That said, I am hoping they update some specific things; I'd really like more animations that indicate what the animals are doing (eating, sleeping, etc) as well as animals automatically hunting in an area, rather than having to select each prey animal at a time - depending on the prey, I guess (so for rabbits, wolves go in and kill a number, but for boar or deer, it makes sense for them to hunt one at a time). Some variation in the models would be nice too. Rabbits are all the same color for the most part, wolves are all the same drab brown. I don't want like neon pink or anything, but even just different SHADES of brown would be nice.
I know this sounds like a lot of criticism, but I honestly have faith in the developers. I can tell that this game was made with a clear concept in mind and I believe they'll execute it nicely once everything's done. It's peaceful, the narration is lovely, and the visuals are beautiful. I also really like the trait system when it comes to animal breeding, though I would like more realistic animal behaviors when it comes to breeding - i.e., wolves again, the alpha male typically dominates the breeding sphere/has multiple partners (may have just been constrained by the campaign).

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI was super excited for this game but it was so short lived, it was abandoned pretty soon and seems like a cash grab which is incredibly disappointing as the small amount of content that was released was pretty fun and the idea was great. Definitely don't buy if you're expecting any further content updates or a complete game.
