You can keep playing all day long looking for new interaction's and boon's combo's, every little dialogue is unique and 70% of it is always funny in some way especially Zagreus and Hades sarcastic nature, always gotta be my favourite interactions when you renovating the house. tldr this game is fun asf and if you unfamiliar with rogue-like games this is the perfect start, lwk got me interested to buy The Saac, also can't wait to play Hades 2. The game has a incredable gamplay loop with many weapons and variants that all meet the challenge of being uniquely fun and different, and not one being so strong that you feel like there is a "meta". This also makes you truly want to find and unlock all of them. This compounds with the perk system and hammers (that change the move set) to have so many combinations that give a ton of build variety.
When it comes to roguelikes, I find they can often struggle to properly balance gameplay difficulty; however, Hades has a very interesting take on this problem; you figure it out. Each run can be changed, modifying almost every aspect of the game to rebalance the challenge so you never feel fully on top. And with boss rewards, you will need to confront a harder run to progress. This is on top of the Mirror of Night that lets you buff yourself over the game that balances out the harder runs.

It takes a while for the tracks to click with me before it becomes catchy. All the character designs are interesting and diverse. The art style is pretty good. Every single dialogue have voice acting and they're very well voiced. The gameplay is half roguelite and half visual novel with very light dating sim mechanic. What stands out about this game and make it unique is how there are about 21,000 dialogues and characters interactions. Every characters have something to say in every situations and even in very rare situations like getting to the final boss with no upgrades. All the characters show great personalities and most of the lore are told through dialogue. The game isn't 100% accurate with its Greek mythos lore, but near close to it. There isn't a backlog or auto mode for the dialogue. It isn't needed but a small QoL for readers.
It is a roguelite so it is what you'd expect. You go in clear or fail a run to accumulate metaprogression resources to get stronger to make run easier to beat. Clearing the run for the first time let you modify your runs to make it harder to near impossible. You pick your reward routes and it can be kill or safe room. During runs there are a lot of different upgrades that synergize with each other that can make each run different, even when trying to do the same build again. There are exclusive and unique upgrades when having two different gods' upgrade. There are 6 base weapons with each weapons having 4 different modification for different playstyle. Absolutely and HIGHLY recommend to anyone who loves a good dungeon crawler as well as a greek mythology nerd as myself. The appeal for me was the greek mythology and the fact it was a dungeon crawler was a pleasant surprise ! The story of Zagreus is very intriguing as he comes across other characters of Greek myth. Not to mention all the boons and even banes one can acquire for the prince. Also adore the personalization to making runs easier or more challenging to keep the game from getting repetitive despite the whole point of the game is to escape over and over again.

Every dialogue and run would feel different. Love the boon aspect that can change ur gameplay. But the 20% blessing for darker thirst sometimes so rng that i would choose over and over with same weapon that make me feel guilty not to use it. One thing I will say though is that I had not expected this game to be so hard lmao. Either that or I just suck, honestly could go either way. Took me so many attempts to beat Meg, all just to finally get through Tartatus and only making it two more rooms before dying. But in that same vein, I see how it can get addicting. You just keep telling yourself "one more run."

But there's more to it that elevated Hades from a good game to one of the best indie games I've played. The story and voice acting are absolute chef's kiss. Supergiant Games portrayed these Greek gods in such a humanly way that allows the player to be invested in a family drama that would normally come off as "cheesy". I can confidently say that I am thoroughly impressed by this game and I can't wait to play Hades II after completing all the other side contents left (there's a lot... probably going to take me another 20-30 hours)

On top of that, it tells an amazing story that's directly tied to your progress. Every run moves the story forward. I know Dead Cells does something similar, but Hades tells its story in a much clearer way, making it much easier to get invested in the characters and the world. Dead Cells and Nightreign are much more focused on gameplay than storytelling.
Hades strikes the perfect balance between story, gameplay, and progression.
Most roguelikes eventually reach a point where you stop feeling like playing. Maybe you'll come back months later... maybe you won't.
Hades doesn't let that happen—not anytime soon.
Every run leaves you with more questions that need answers. More weapons waiting to be unlocked. More conversations to have. More of the story to uncover.
It always gives you a reason to jump into "just one more run."
The gameplay is incredibly satisfying. The boss fights are fantastic, every area feels unique thanks to its own mechanics, and the weapons are an absolute blast to use.
It's one of the few roguelikes where grinding never feels like a chore. You're constantly unlocking new weapons, keepsakes, upgrades, and builds to experiment with, so the game stays fresh for a very long time... and I mean a very, very long time.
And then there are two things I almost forgot to mention:
The music and the characters.
The soundtrack is absolutely incredible. The boss themes, the ambient tracks—every single piece fits perfectly. For a fast-paced game like Hades, the music is a huge part of the experience, and they absolutely nailed it.
Then there are the characters.
They're all memorable, and thanks to the gift system and the conversations you have after every run, you slowly build relationships with them and get to know them better.
Especially Skelly.
Whoever came up with Skelly deserves a raise.
I haven't even played that much yet, but I've loved every minute of it so far, and I honestly can't think of a single negative thing to say.

My Hades Review:
This is the best roguelite game I've ever played, where dying is rewarded. I love the visuals and art style, and my favorite of all is Dusa. That's all, Dusa, not even Meg. I love Dusa more. Moreover I also wanted an advice for new players that you need to have Perseverance and Patience (Undertale/Deltarune reference) but seriously you guys need patience as dying is part of the game to progress so that's all I can give for gameplay wise just have those two or even better have like at least Determination.
I will also say I love how well written the characters especially Dusa, yes Dusa only is my favorite but everyone is great as well like Skelly and Asterius that it also make me go for all achievement in game.
Last but not least, there is "No cost too great." The game is good either in sale or full price; it's all worth the price, and it's an overall 10/10 game.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
