It's well made and the perspective scaling can be a lot of fun. I just expected a competent puzzle game and that's not what I got.<br><br>Every challenge boils down to, make big, make small, and/or find the right angle, which I don't find fun. <br><br>I went in with the expectation of this being a puzzle game that uses perspective mechanics. I stumbled onto it at random, and everyone I talked to about it equated me to a caveman that's just learning about the wheel. Then after playing through it, I have trouble articulating what the game even is. It's a puzzle game with perspective themes, that also has a bit of unreliable narrator, and a heavy dose of surrealism to it. Hell, maybe it's easier to just say it's a proper unofficial sequel to LSD Dream Simulator. <br>Oh, look it up if that reference sailed over your head. <br><br>I can't recommend Superliminal highly enough. Every single time I thought I had seen all this bad boy had to show me, it not only proved me wrong, but also actively felt like it had heard my exact words, sitting around the corner with a blackjack to bop me over my smug head. Here, easy hurdle to start with... do you like Portal? This is portal, but with a way larger scope and frankly baffling design skill level put into it. I have a basic understanding of level coding, and brotha... masterpiece! I need to write a review.&quot;<br>That's honestly the only thing that was on my mind after finishing the game.<br><br>During my first playthrough, I was completely blown away by how smooth and well-crafted everything felt. And somehow, the game is just so beautiful in its own weird way. I walked through it like a little kid, fascinated by everything I saw and constantly wondering, &quot;How did they even do this?&quot;<br><br>At some point, I genuinely felt like the game was puzzling me, rather than me puzzling the game.<br><br>This is one of the few games where I actually watched the entire credits roll. I was just sitting there thinking, &quot;How? How did they make this?&quot;<br><br>And then I got thrown back into the main menu, only to discover that I could replay the entire game with developer commentary. O.O<br><br>And somehow, the second playthrough was even better!!! here and there, but not enough to make it as interesting as the games it's inspired from like The Stanley Parable or any Bloober games (in term of mechanics).<br>I also played in multiplayer, which seems to be a new addition, and hell.. it's way too buggy to ruin the whole experience.<br>Maybe as a single player game on discount is alright, but for multiplayer, I'd say skip it.<br>Sorry, but I My issue was with the &quot;resizing&quot; mechanic, where you drop objects away from you at certain distances to change their size based on perspective. That is so you can get over/around/through obstacles, which is fine. BUT, there was a &quot;hitch&quot; with that mechanic (repeated over &amp; over) where Item being resized was LIMITED so that you jumped from a somewhat large object to GIGANTIC with no in-between's! The &quot;slider&quot; effect on item resizing was either incredibly too sensitive or intentionally made to skip a bunch of in-between sizes for frustration.
