Why Early Access?

“I would like players to get involved, pitch in ideas that they would like to see, and generally help shape the final game as well as help test out features that require lots of players. Its a big game to thoroughly test on my own. I need your help!”

“Hopefully around 6 months, depending on how things go”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I still intend to add more content to the galaxy. Including more lore and stuff to find. As well as some more end game and multiplayer features, depending on what players enjoy or would like more of.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Its a perfectly playable game with lots of content, loads of items and things to play with. Hopefully enough for you to enjoy and keep you occupied.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to keep the price the same when the game leaves early access”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am very keen for the community to help shape this game, I have already added lots of ideas from kickstarter backers and beta testers as well as adding features to aid or enhance the way that players play the game.

I have a discord channel where players, testers and fans can discuss the game with myself, report bugs and suggest changes. I can also be contacted by email at ben@benolding.co.uk

About This Game

Starfighter: Infinity is a space based MMORPG with a focus on ‘dogfighting’ style action and exploration.

Features a huge array of imaginitive weapons and ship upgrades and more being added all the time. A large selection of ships that you can unlock as you progress through the game.

Create your own organisations, that have an effect on the in game world by branding stations, and ai ships and choosing weapon loadouts for AI ships. Declare war on other organisations

Craft, Loot Discover

84 playable ships (so far) with different stats and play styles unlocked as you progress.
1447 different items (so far) that you can buy, craft or loot. With a large variety of imagination - not just different numbers, weapons act differently have different effects. See the official website for a list
Hunt down and mine precious minerals that can then be crafted into weapons/items

Fight

Realtime multiplayer PvP and PvE - keyboard or joypad based action involving skill. Action is skill based dogfighting style, with no fixed tactics: use a fast ship and evade, or a slower ship with tactical aids, and lots of shields. How you combine weapons and tactics is up to you.
Designed so that pretty much any ship in game is a threat - you are not 'the chosen one', you have no special advantage over any other ship except your own cunning and skill...
Neutral zones, warzones, free for all zones, duels and also jammers, interfering nebula dust all allow for different types of combat and tactics, or no combat at all...
Encounter several other alien races in the game with their own ships and lootable weapons/items

Explore

21 explorable star systems with between 100 and 289 sectors each, with lots of things to discover
Loads of planets to find (100 so far) with their own back stories
Ancient Relics drifting in space - not all are just dormant
Explore inside space stations, chat to other players while turrets protect you from incoming enemies.

Organise

Team up with other players to form your own organisation and compete with others
Organisation run stations: Affect the star system around you - Nearby AI ships will be coloured and branded to your organisation and will have weapons specified by you. Therefore the galaxy is very much influenced by the people playing it.
Get special ranks and ships for running an organisation with a certain amount of members

Starfighter: Legacy

Older starfigther games bundled in an accessible via Extras menu (Windows only for now)
