“Plan for the full version:

-4 different zones in v1.0 each with their own music, enemies, mini games and bosses to fight

-The zones will vary in difficulty, but you will be able to play them in any order you want. Except for the final zone to access that you will have to beat the bosses of the other zones.

-Levels where the player is transformed into something else and gains abilities unique to that form.

-Levels that can be unlocked by finding secret exits or by unlocking gates on the map screen.”

Magical Monster Land takes inspiration from various 16-bit platformers of the past and adds in a few modern elements.

Momentum based platforming
Steam Achievements
Play with keyboard or a controller
Option to rebind the controls
3 difficulty settings
Each world has unique music and enemies
Levels filled with secrets and no time limit, so you're free to explore
World maps with branching paths
Ability to replay levels to find secrets that you missed
Collect Tokens to spend in the item shop or on mini games to earn extra lives
