Vad utvecklarna har att säga:

Varför Early Access?

“Early Access will allow players to give feedback and influence the development as we move towards a full release. We have built a solid foundation of Winkeltje that is fun to play as is but we realise that it needs more love and attention to make it a shop keeping game that is unique and truly stands out. With this in mind we have our development pipeline set up to release updates and fixes on a regular basis while we work on more content and features.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We aim to have Winkeltje in Early Access for about a year or longer for as long as the resources to develop allow us.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The full version will have more content and features. We intend to add more objectives, furniture, items, decorations, walls, floors, events, and probably more.

We already support community translations but we intend to translate if there is a significant enough demand to the most popular languages in the full release.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Winkeltje is already fully playable with dozens of furniture, items, structural assets, customers, events, seasons and three supported languages (Dutch, French, and Russian). Players part of the closed-alpha have reported enjoying the game for over 10 hours.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“As the game grows in content, features, and entertainment value we may increase the price of the game.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We have an active Discord community where people provide feedback and suggestions. We have three branches in which we develop the game (default, testing, unstable) where players can try upcoming features or help with community translations.”

Update 3603 - Door Locking, Item Info & More! (+ Hotfix 3610)

Hey Shopkeepers,

It is great to see how much fun everyone is having when playing Winkeltje! We are humbled by your responses, but we are also hearing the issues raised. Be assured that we are working on them.

This update is the first half of a push to add some more items to your specialized shops to help that experience feel more complete. Expect to see more items next update.

Next to this, there have been requests for new storage options, ways to keep customers out of certain rooms or a way to easily see the value of an item. These have now all been added to the game!

Of course, that is not everything. Bug fixes, new events, objectives and improved controller support are also in today's notes. Check them out in their entirety below!

Let us know what you think in the comments or join the Discord (https://discord.gg/ZSMEenk) where you can talk to us or the rest of the community and see every change that is being made to the game live.

Hotfix 3610
There were a couple of issues that slipped through our tests for Update 3603:
  • Items that were obtained but were not available anymore after a patch will now still be buyable through the order menu.
  • Blueberry Withered state was not assigned correctly
  • Grain was being translated incorrectly
  • Fix for customers trying to access the navmesh when they were not on it anymore.

Content
  • Community Request: Item Info. This window appears when selecting or hovering an item and gives useful information about the values of the item.

  • Community Request: New pallets. The Long Pallet is for fitting into tight spaces and the Huge Pallet for efficient endgame storing of goods.
  • 2 new farming plants: Wheat (for grain) and Blueberry Plants (for Blueberries.)
  • Community Request: 5 new cooking items (Jam, Porridge, Quiche, Roast and Blueberry Pie.)
  • Community Request: Door locking. You can now prevent customers from using a door by clicking the door at night to lock it for customers. You can still use it but customers will not be able to walk through.

  • New farming and cooking objectives to unlock the new items.
  • Additional particle and sound effects to all pallet types.
  • 5 new annual events, and 2 new random ones, have been added to the game! Prepare for the Chef Cook-off by cooking meals for the hungry fans, save up for the dreaded Plague, make a pile of cash by selling swords during the Tournament, and more!
Balance
  • Community Request: Lowered the cost of shop upgrades.
  • Increased the amount of appeal needed per level, especially for the later levels.
  • Removed the lowered capacity from storage on Hard mode, and replaced it with higher furniture pricing.
Changes
  • Added a pop-up to inform the player when an event starts.
  • Item modifiers are now always based on the base value instead of its context sensitive values.
  • Community Request: You can now choose to pay your debt when opening the shop instead of at the end of the day.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where over a dozen objectives would not start correctly, these should start on game load.
  • Shop Builder cost indicator would sometimes show the previously paid cost when changing walls/floors.
  • Buying tiles in creative mode would still cost money, they're free once again.
  • Price calculations should be more precise now since it doesn't round up/down anymore during the calculations.
  • Values were rounded incorrectly after being affected by events.
  • Upgrade max appeal reminder should no longer show when at maximum appeal.
  • Fixed an issue where the event pop-up would not spawn for annual events.
  • Planter soil should no longer highlight or stay highlighted after interacting with it.
  • Fixed an error when Overview > Events is empty.
  • Fixed issues with the Bandits, War, Autumn, Recession, Spring, Summer and Economic Boom events where they would not always affect the intended resource categories.
  • Fixed an issue where an event would incorrectly set the value modifiers.
  • Door would not open when the debt objective was not found in some cases.
  • Player move direction and speed were not reset after handling furniture.
  • Planters (all slots) have had their sizes tweaked so they would stop bullying the snapping system.
  • Using dpad to select furniture should no longer work with a crafting menu open.
  • You can now not close the shop while a delivery is in progress or while Lucas is still inside your shop.
  • Fixed an issue where the in-game UI would occasionally show in the main menu.
  • Fixed an issue where crafting costs would not scale properly on Hard mode.
  • Customers should no longer slow down when walking around objects.
  • Customers should no longer slowly rotate when walking around objects.
  • Camera zooming should now only work if the cursor is within the game view.

Om detta spel

Winkeltje is a game about building, decorating and running a small shop in the days of old. You will deal with the day-to-day business as the shop owner while you unlock new things that will help you run a lucrative enterprise.

As the shopkeeper of your very own shop you are in charge of buying, selling, and making a profit. Items can be bought from passing traders or delivered at a fee. Items can be placed on displays in order to sell them to customers. When you are ready, you can open your shop to start the day and let customers in. Customers will buy what you have on display if it matches what they are looking for. If you don't provide what a customer wants in time, they will be sad and leave. A day of shopkeeping can be stressful but rewarding!

Bring out your interior designer by freely placing and rotating all furniture or use snapping if inaccuracy drives you nuts. Furniture comes in a variety of categories. There are displays which let you display items to sell in your shop. Decorations will make your shop more appealing and increase the amount of customers that come to your shop. You can increase the item stock capacity by placing storage type furniture. With crafting type furniture you can produce items to sell in your shop.

When you have amassed enough money you can decide to expand your shop. The shop building is tile based where you decide what floor to place and what walls surround each tile. Walls can also be windows, archways, or doors. Expanding will also make your shop more appealing to customers as each piece makes your shop more appealing. Each wall type has a matching entrance to really tie the place together.

Crafting lets you create items that you can sell in your shop. Crafting requires resources but lets you gain experience so that you can create higher quality items than what you can get from traders. Currently you can craft tools and weapons at the forge and clothing at the tailoring station. As the game develops, more crafting options will become available.

In Winkeltje you can buy seeds from traders, plant seeds in planters, water plants, and harvest crops. Crops are items that you can sell in your shop. If crops aren't cared for they can wither and die.

As time goes by you will encounter events and seasons. Events and seasons can affect the supply and demand for certain items. It can be profitable to stock up on certain items so that you can sell them for more profit when the time is right.
