What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This game is in-development, but has already been enjoyed by hundreds at local exhibitions. We wanted to share the fun in the meantime. We already have a great experience for you to play full games on 3 boards with 6 minigames, but this is just the start!

We're working towards around 20 minigames, and 5 game boards, for the full release, in addition to more fun and engaging interactions within each game. But as we deliver new content, we want to make sure you like it, and use your feedback to influence our decisions.

We want to hear how YOU are enjoying the game as it progresses. Your comments will help us stay true to our goal of creating an accessible VR game you'll be excited to share with your friends and family.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“1 Year estimated. We plan to get the remaining features to you in the next 6 months - we have developed this for only 6 months so far - and after that polish the graphics, performance, and juiciness until we think it's as good as can be (about 6 months).”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Add many more minigames, and a handful of new boards. Asymmetric gameplay will allow the spectating players to interrupt or assist the current VR player. Extra board game spaces, like The Big Wheel (in-development), board-specific event triggers, and more will mix up the gameplay and add an element of luck to each game. Extra framing sequences including an announcer, an introduction, and finale with optional random rewards, will add even more chances for the less-experienced players to get a shot at 1st Place! You will customize your game piece with skins and hats. A Free Play mode for minigames will provides extra options, challenges, and high scores to beat.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“While designated "Pre-Alpha" we already have a fully playable game for 1-4 players. You can select the number of players, and one of 3 game boards - House Party, Pirate Hideout, and Mt Everest. Throughout each game you and your opponents will challenge our 6 minigames, from the sword slicing Salad Samurai to the creepy shooter Mummy Mayhem.

You navigate the game board by tossing dice and selecting from branching paths, to optimize your Coins and Stars. Each board has a space which lets you trade Coins for a Star, bonus Coins for each lap completed, Roll-Again spaces, and more! At the end of 4 rounds, the player with the most Stars is declared the winner!

More features will be introduced rapidly, but the price will increase too, so we hope you'll take a chance on us sooner than later!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're excited to get feedback and suggestions as we develop a new VR gameplay experience. Please keep in touch, and we'll be addressing all of your feedback on a regular basis.”

VRPC Update #1 is LIVE!

Hello Club! We're so proud to announce our first update to VR Party Club! We've been working on bringing you new features and content so I hope you're ready for a brand new party! Our goal is to make VRPC the best game for those new to VR and veterans, so we hope you'll like the new minigame, board game spaces for the Big Wheel, 1-Player Practice Mode, and more!

Here's the full scoop:
  • New Minigame: Cyber Shootout
Put your aim and quickdraw skills to the test in this sci-fi blaster showdown.
  • New Board Space: Big Wheel
Land on the green space to test your luck on the Big Wheel - will you get free coins or stars, or steal them from your opponents? But watch out, because a bad spin could make you give away your stars or coins, or even trade them with your opponent!
  • New Game Mode: Practice Mode
No one to party with? No problem! Challenge any of the minigames and hone your skills to prepare for your next VR Party!
  • Performance Optimization: Everywhere
We've gone over every game board and minigame to crank up your framerates and provide a buttery-smooth experience. Did we miss any? Let us know!
  • New Title Screen
The title screen has been refreshed, providing access to Practice Mode and 2-4 Player Party Mode on 3 Game Boards. Enjoy the fireworks!
  • Minigame Improvements
We noticed some minigames were too easy and others too hard, so we adjusted scores for Silver and Gold ranks. We also fixed up some small bugs, and we hope everything feels even better than before!
  • Board Improvements
When passing the Start space or Star space, you will now see the coins and stars you gain or lose fly into and out of your pieces. You'll see the same effects on the Big Wheel. And now the value of your roll will be clear no matter how far you throw the dice!

As the title says, this is all live right now, so update and enjoy! Thanks for supporting VR Party Club as we work to build more features and content for you. Let us know any questions or issues you have, and we'll bring you another update soon!
