What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Operation Lone Wolf is developed by one person (a Lone Wolf), but the players will play a big role in development by giving feedback and new ideas. Feedback will be used to balance the game, fix bugs, and make this game the best it can be. It is very important for competitive online games to get community feedback on how balanced it feels and plays before it’s too late in the production cycle, and Early Access is a good way to do that.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“For about 6-8 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include more maps, weapons, gamemodes, perks, fine-tuned gameplay based on player feedback, and small things like more weapons skins. It will also feature all single player missions, and a single player campaign. These missions will be released over the course of Early Access, and the campaign will be included with the full game launch.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the moment Operation Lone Wolf features 1 single player mission, 11 maps to play on, 9 gamemodes, 27 weapons, 3 killstreaks and 18 perks. You can play single player, multiplayer, or play against bots to improve your skills, or test out weapons or perks. More details on what features are currently in the game are found in the 'About This' section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are looking forward to hearing players’ feedback, and we will use it to improve the game as much as possible, balance and fine-tune the gameplay and fix problems that will be found. Bugs can be reported on our website, by using the 'Support' button in game. The game has already been changed based on play testers feedback before release, and we want to continue in that way. Players can give their feedback on the steam forums, or contact us on our website if you want to share suggestions or interesting ideas.”

  • New and improved lighting in Capital, Desert, Depot and Oil Field

  • Changed hipfire position for the Springfield, Kar 98 and Long Rifle, so they cover less screen space

  • Increased recoil for the MP48 and the Suomi KP31

Game Info

Operation Lone Wolf is a first person shooter, set in the second World War. You can play the first single player mission (more will be added during Early Access) in which you have to steal documents from the Germans, but not everything goes as planned. You can also play multiplayer with up to 10 players, in different free for all gamemodes. At the moment this game has 9 gamemodes, including: standard free for all, gungame, sniper, shotgun and pistol-only, a realistic, no HUD mode and more.

You can choose from a wide variety of weapons, from 5 different catagories. By playing with a weapon, you get upgrade points for that specific weapon, to improve your weapon statistics. For certain weapons you can buy optics or silencers. You can also buy weapon skins in the shop, when you have reached player level 3. Skins, weapons and weapon attachments can only be bought with in-game money.

There are also 18 different perks to choose from, to make your character the way you want. Playing well will be rewarded with killstreaks, like a radar, a bomber plane or a bomb you can control falling down on the map. Also, the higher your killstreak is, the stronger your soldier will get. For example faster sprint speed, and a little bit more health.

You can play on 11 different maps, set on all kinds of different locations. Operation Lone Wolf has small and fast paced maps, and big, more open maps for a little bit more tactical gameplay, so there are many gameplay options available for the players. Post launch updates like new maps, new gamemodes etc. will all be free, and there are no in-game purchases or lootboxes in Operation Lone Wolf. You can also play offline with bots, to test your skills and improve in the game, or play without an internet connection.

Early Access

All the things above are already in the game at the moment. But during Early Access we want to use player feedback to improve the game, and balance gameplay, weapons, perks, and killstreaks. The game will also be updated with single player content (new missions), weapon skins, new weapons, new maps, new gamemodes, new perks, and all of those updates will be completely free.
