What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Membraine Studios is a small team—Glenn and Mark. We need feedback from a larger base of players who will help us understand what's working and what we need to improve. If you understand what Early Access is about, you're happy to be part of a journey of discovery with us, and you love the idea of helping shape Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus by giving us your constructive criticism in our Steam Discussions forums or Facebook, it would be great to have you on board.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Full Release date is currently a moving target. Between our own ideas and ambitions for the game and the feedback we anticipate our community may contribute as we make the game together, we are unsure how long we'll be working on the game, but we think a reasonable estimate is somewhere between six months and a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the number of battlefields and the roster of Titans variants over time in regular updates. We also want to add more significant features, like Steam Achievements and a loot-drop system, in the Major Updates we have planned. Beyond these things, we also hope to be able to implement new ideas and features that our community may request—all reasonable requests will be considered...but we're not making any promises.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access build of Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus features the following:
  • A true-to-source adaptation of the Titan Legions tabletop rules, streamlined for PC
  • Nine Titan variants, three each for the Warlord, Reaver and Warhound
  • Four Loyalist Legios and four Chaos Legios to choose from
  • Three battlefields, each with distinct environments
  • Destructible terrain features - watch buildings collapse as stray weapons fire obliterates their structural integrity
  • Several game modes with multiple victory conditions - there is more than one way to win
  • Eight fixed-forces scenarios to challenge your skills as Legate of a Maniple of Titans
  • Discover the strategic depth underlying the game, with points-based army list building in Skirmish and Multi-Player via the Detachment Builder

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price at Early Access launch will be commensurate with the amount of content available in the game at that time. We intend to then raise the price with each Major Update, as by the time each of these updates is released, significant new content should have been added to the game. We feel this approach will appropriately reward those gamers who join us on our Early Access journey, and will particularly reward those who join us right from the start.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to recreate the world of Adeptus Titanicus and the glorious Warhammer 40,000 universe on PC, doing justice to that universe and forging a true-to-source game to which players want to return again and again. To achieve this, we will need constructive feedback from the community on each Early Access release. Feedback like this will enable us to amend and prioritise our development cycle as appropriate. We will of course avidly monitor our Steam Discussions forum, but we will be particularly active on our Facebook page, where you will be able to engage with us in public and/or private discussions, depending on your preference.”

Latest update replaces Skirmish AI and scenario play army lists for new challenges!

Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus has just been updated again. This minor update brings in a number of important bug-fixes (full details in the Update Notes in our Steam Discussions forums), but much more exciting is that it also brings in the first revisions for the single-player Skirmish AI and scenario army lists.

All Skirmish enemy AI forces and all 12 scenario army lists (player and enemy AI) have been remade to make use of the Titan variants we have added since launch. These new lists should provide fresh challenges to veteran Legates.

WHAT'S NEXT?
From here, while we will of course continue to fix bugs and release new variants in the minor udpates, our main focus continues to be preparation of the first Major Update for release, which will bring in Close Combat and other great features—see our Steam store page for more information.

The first Major Update has the highest priority for us; however, we will also be putting effort into expanding the AI's toolkit and ensuring its challenge level is increased. We are aware that some players are finding the AI too easy, and we're aiming to remedy this with incremental changes over future updates.

New anti-armour Warhound variant added!

We've added a new Warhound variant to Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus. This latest Warhound variant packs twin Turbo Laser Destructors for great anti-armour capability!

Updated! New Warhound variant and new weapon system added!

Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus has just received its latest Titan variant—a Warhound that combines an Inferno Cannon for short-range work with the new Turbo Laser Destructor weapon system! This new Warhound variant is available for deployment right now in your single- and multi-player games.

The Turbo Laser Destructor is the smaller cousin of the Laser Blaster. It offers a lesser rate of fire and a reduced range when compared with its larger peer, but also comes at a lower points cost than the beastly Laser Blaster. The Turbo Laser Destructor is a potent weapon and favoured by Warhound crews needing enhanced anti-armour capability over what the Vulcan Mega Bolter can provide.

The Turbo Laser Destructor is primarily intended for use on Scout Titans, which cannot carry the weight of a Laser Blaster; however, the Turbo Laser Destructor can also be mounted on Battle Titan carapace, enabling its use on Warlords and Reavers.

New Warhound variant added!

Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus has been updated again, this time adding a new Warhound Titan variant armed with dual Vulcan Mega Bolters! The new Warhound variant is available to play now in both single-player and multi-player!

New Warlord variant added!

Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus has just been updated again a add a new Warlord Titan variant armed with twin Volcano Cannons and dual Laser Blasters. Available to play now in both multi-player and single-player Skirmish modes!

About This Game

Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus, the 3D turn-based strategy PC game adaptation of Games Workshop’s classic Titan Legions tabletop game, puts you in control of the greatest weapons available to the Imperium of Man, the mighty Titans of the Adeptus Titanicus!

Coming soon to Steam Early Access, Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus features a Skirmish mode against an AI opponent for single-player and an online multi-player mode. Upon full release, the game will also offer an exciting single-player campaign.

Control a force of Titans
In Dominus, choose to control a force of Titans from the loyalist Legions of Astorum (Warp Runners), Gryphonicus (War Griffons), Crucius (Warmongers) or Osedax (The Cockatrices), or choose from the traitorous Chaos Legions of Mortis (Death Heads), Vulcanum (Dark Fire), Damnosus (Lords of Ruin) and Fureans (Tiger Eyes).

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Futuristic warfare
Utilising the tabletop Titan Legions rules system as its foundation, Dominus features an easy-to-play yet deep strategic and tactical experience via its streamlined command system, which sees you and your opponent giving activation orders to your Titans, resulting in fast-paced battles. It successfully marries this strategic play with action sequences as the gargantuan Titans exchange volleys of cannon shots, blistering laser blasts and other epic, super-powered weapons of the far off future!

Easy to play, challenging to master
While luck will play a part as you trade blows with your foe on the futuristic battlefields of the 41st Millennium, your path to victory lies in your army list building and how you manoeuvre your units upon the battlefield. As a commander, you will have access to the most classic, iconic Titan units from the Warhammer 40,000 universe: Warhounds, Reavers and the gigantic Warlord, for both the Imperial and Chaos factions. Each of these Titans will have multiple variants available, featuring different weapon configurations, thereby enabling your Titans to fulfil the battlefield role your strategy demands.

A living battlefield
Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus will feature a "living battlefield" that employs unit and battlefield animations to show players the Warhammer 40,000 universe they know and love.
