What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Fractured Lands is an Early Access game because we want to drive development with feedback from the community. As a multiplayer shooter, the feedback derived from players regarding tuning of both our gun and vehicle combat is essential to creating a smooth experience throughout our game's lifetime. Our game is designed to continue to iterate with newly collected feedback at every step in our development of new content, and refinement of existing content.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“While we're prepared to pivot and reschedule, we are currently planned to exit Early Access and enter our 1.0 launch December of 2018.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The 1.0 launch of Fractured Lands is planned with additional content within the Early Access mode, refinement of existing gameplay modes, an integration of all new gameplay modes first tested in Early Access, the addition of new vehicles and weapons throughout, and features crafted for the continuing needs of the community as they play.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the Early Access build is a single last one standing game mode, featuring vehicles, eight weapons, nearly 50 weapon attachments, about 15 vehicle attachments, on 1 64sqkm map.

This includes options for customizable vanity attachments to both character and vehicle, and the option to operate the game in custom servers.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We don't have finalized plans on our price through to 1.0 launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have regular interaction and feedback collection/discussion with developers through our Community Manager via the Fractured Lands Steam forums, various social media channels (Twitter, Facebook), and our support site.

We are operating a development blog we will continue to update, produce build updates and communicate those changes while asking for feedback, and have discussions with players via live stream and in forum discussions on Steam and other social sites.

Likewise we have been in regular communication with YouTube content creators, Twitch streamers, and additional community influencers in advance of our product announcement and will continue to maintain those relationships.”

About This Game

As a survivor of the Fractured Lands your vehicle is your only friend, fuel is your lifeline and your survival depends on what you’re willing to do to be the last one alive. Scavenge buildings, upgrade vehicles and build loadouts as the encroaching storm forces you to face off with the worst in the Lands.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world. Players begin with a car a wrench and the open road. Drive to the outlying territories with the hopes of securing enough to get by or head straight into the super city for immediate loot and bloodshed.

Post Apocalyptic World

The desolate desert setting channels the use-what-you-can to survive aspect and frantic feeling of the post-apocalyptic setting. Encouraging players to “MacGyver” their way through the game with whatever they can find be it duct tape band-aids, alcohol, blow torchers and any scraps they find out on the wasteland.

Dynamic closing Playing Field

The ever-closing storm in Fractured Lands will have the players fighting to the end as the storm pushes them closer and closer together. The storm dynamically shifts and moves with the player so different strategies can be implemented whether you stay within the eye of the storm or equip a gas mask and embrace the impending doom.

Customizable Vehicles

Vehicles in Fractured Lands are the most powerful weapons in the game. Players start with a bare-to-the-bones vehicles that can be upgraded with powerful attachments such as cutting through armored defenses with a spike bumper, rigging up a nitrous boost to rocket through the battlefield or carrying a surplus inventory to help magnify gameplay strategies.

Battle Royale with Vehicle Combat

Fractured Lands breaks the mold and puts a spin on a familiar formula with an arsenal of vehicles. With every combatant starting behind the wheel of a customizable vehicle, the search for weapons, fuel and parts throughout the game make this a player’s greatest weapon.
