Why Early Access?

“Everything is on fire. We are desperately trying not to completely suck.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Probably six months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For initial early access release we have 54 unique upgrades. For release we would like to have over 120, including 10 familiars (initially there's only 1 familiar implemented).

Also there's initially only 2 character classes in the game. Paladin and Cleric. We hope to ship with 6 of them when we exit early access. While the Paladin will be free to play for everyone (so that you can always play with your friends), the other 5 will require the paid DLC.

Initially, there's no story cinematics in the game. We'd like to add intro and multiple ending cinematics before exiting early access.

We'd also like to add a short single player tutorial level to explain the basic elements clearly to new players.

In addition our servers record reports from every game and we will analyze those to ensure proper balance and fix any problem areas in the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is roughly feature complete and is playable from start to finish.

We currently have 54 upgrades, 19 magical potions, 19 dangerous enemies, 9 unique bosses, and over 425 room designs spread among 5 programmatically generated dungeon levels for maximum replayability!

There are may be run ending bugs in the game. We apologize for any frustration and appreciate your patience. Often these will generate crash reports that will be sent to us for analysis and prompt fixes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will still be free to play.

The price may increase for the character class unlock DLC that unlocks the 5 classes other than the Paladin.”

About This Game

Never Split the Party is an ultra social rogue-like! You're one of four adventurers entering an epic dungeon to take down the evil vampire known only as The Countess, who killed your parents and is now constantly bombarding you with insults.

Explore a procedurally generated dungeon, amass powerful upgrades, and cooperate with your fellow adventures to conquer and crush the vile dungeon bosses!

Never Split the Party has over 120 upgrades, 21 magical potions, 28 unique enemies, and over 425 room designs spread among 5 procedurally generated dungeon levels for maximum replayability!

Each player has both a role and a character class.

The four unique roles in the game each provide vital info to the party.
- The Cartographer tracks the dungeon maps.
- The Treasurer tracks each players inventory.
- The Vitalist tracks each players health.
- The Loremaster tracks all knowledge of the upgrades.

If you were to be split from the party, say through an Skeleton Wizard's teleportation or a Punter that knocks you into the next room, then everyone else would lose access to your roles vital info until you're reunited.

You'll also get to unlock and choose your character class. While the initial Fighter class will be FREE for everyone (so that you can always play with your friends), access to the other 5 classes require the Fellowship DLC.
