Economy Changes in Detail

So, what’s up with those tickets and coins? Things are looking a little different in the Shooty economy. I want to take you on a quick trip through the changes and let you know the score.
At a Glance Summary:
• Gold Tickets multiplied by 100
• Added new Prize Machine options
• Gun boosts can now be permanently unlocked
• New Duplicate pilot rewards
• Coin and Gold Ticket *bonus* rewards rebalanced to reflect the above

Gold Tickets x100
You get more. Things cost more. We did this to have more flexibility in the rewards we could give players.

New Prize Machine Options
We wanted to make the game more enjoyable and more accessible for players across the board. The *new Prize Machine options* give players the choice of paying more for a guarantee of not getting a duplicate pilot (which is new for the standard pilots) or they can pay less and risk getting a duplicate on the Gold pilots.
This means that newer players can collect Gold pilots more quickly and veteran pilots can save coins and time completing their collections.

Gun Boosts Unlocked Forever
You can now also spend Gold Tickets to permanently unlock your Weapon Boosts. We wanted to make unlocking your favourite weapon a but epic so we’ve gone for gold with it. Now you have more options of what to do with those Gold Tickets.

Duplicate Rewards
But, Tim, you say, I need more Gold Tickets now. Well, we have an answer. Duplicate pilots on the Coin Prize Machine offer tickets as a consolation prize and Gold Ticket pilots offer coins. You’ll also get Coins from Gold Ticket Prize Machine duplicates.

Coin and Gold Ticket Rebalancing
We made these changes to help balance the game. Here’s how we give late-game players more Coins and Tickets:
• Getting *Dupes on Coin Prize Machine* pilots gives you 25 Gold Tickets. It means late-game players can convert Coin to Gold Tickets and vice versa.
• The *“No Dupes” Prize Machine option for 5000 coins* is guaranteed to save players with 90% of the pilots coins and time. If you have all of the pilots except the latest pack you will save roughly 5000 coins per pilot
• *Unlocking weapons forever* means you aren’t spending coin as many coins on boosts
• In-game Coin rewards are not changed
• Bonus from Gold pigs is unchanged
These changes help give new players a leg up, but we found they gave late-game players a massive boost. To partially offset this and make sure future players have a more balanced experience, we are giving out fewer coins from Daily Rewards past Day 12 (although there is a bug in the current patch 2.701 that makes it lower than it should be).

We have also reduced the Gold Ticket bonus from playing on higher Intensity from +100 Tickets on Shooty to +50, and from +200 to +100 on Screamy, which is closer to what the game balance needs (but we were unable to do when we couldn’t do half tickets).

TLDR;
We’re making changes with the long-term health of the game in mind. We’re giving you more ways to spend your Gold Tickets. We’re giving you ways to trade Coins for Tickets and back. We’re letting you unlock guns forever. We’re giving late-game player the option to complete their pilot sets with a lot less Coins and fuss. We’re giving new players a way to get Gold Pilots faster.

Give it a play and let us know how it feels.

Cheers,

Mighty Games Design Cat
