What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Being in the rather early stages of the creation process, we want the final product to be shaped in the most desirable way for our players. In order to do that we need players support us and we encourage them to send us as much feedback as they urge to and most importantly, to tell us how they imagine the final product. BackToNormal will be developed with full transparency to our users! For that, we will periodically share our progress on the Trello platform!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The first stable version of the title is now completed, but our estimated time in the Early Access is going to be around 6 months to one year. Depending on the development of the future builds, we will be sure to update our players if the estimated time in the Early Access changes!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“As the title will advance from the Early Access stage to its Final Release, we expect a fully functional Massive Multiplayer Online System as long as other features like: a completely detailed 1.000.000 square km map, over 200 different car models, over 200 urban cities, towns and rural areas and many other features that are currently worked on!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access state of the title is now stable with fully working survival mode. In the Early Access release the player will be able to have a fully functional and normal gameplay without having any issues. For the moment the user will be able till 1st of June 2018 to make his own home and craft items needed to survive. We optimized the game so that Low performance and High performance Computers can run it with a smooth Frame Rates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Even after we exit the Early Access stage, the price will be the same! Which means quality will advance even more over time, but the price will remain unchanged!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We added an in-game feature for the users to inform us about the errors and bugs that they encounter while playing and about ideas that they might have. All of them can email us at btngamesupport@gmail.com with their name and the idea they have or the bug that they found. Based on their contribution, the users will be rewarded differently, for example: having their name featured in the credits tab.”

We Are Evolving.

Hello to everyone who supported us and those who are interested in our project,

The studio received a huge change. Discord , studio location , website, and Steam Page will be full redesigned so we can have an easy way to comunicate and share the new updates and future maintenances. For next 3 Weeks there wil be no updates on the project because we are moving all the hardware and servers to a new location. New partnerships are coming after this period and a lot of new features will be implemented in the project. The main map will be finished for testing and with a balanced gameplay. There will be no more placeholders so the user can have a clean UX (User experience). Thanks to your support we can now finish the Pre-Alpha and open a new Stage and new adventures in Open Alpha with the full release on Steam.

There will be one last update on 09/072018 (DD/MM/YYYY) with full PatchNotes and some new mechanics so you can have fun with your friends while we finish everything mentioned above.

Thanks you for everything, we will keep you in touch while we work on our Discord Channel.

Patch 0.1.0.5Z - Stage 4: Servers LIVE , Hotfixes & Optimization

Hello!

We are back in full force!

So as you probably have seen, we were absent for the past month. Sad but true.
We want to clarify our absence and to talk about different things that we have seen and done this past month.

First, we want to clarify something about our team, about the members that are currently working on this project. All of the team members have full time jobs, beside working on the project, so making some calculations: 8 hours the full time job+ 8 to 10 hours working on BTN, results in 8 to 6 hours left for them to: eat, sleep, basic hygiene and chores around each person's house. All of this being done by 4 commited people!

Second, we want to talk about "flip games".
Lets take it from the beginning, "Asset Flipping" from the common knowedge is the practice of building a game almost entirely out of pre-made assets with little to no original work. Games that result from that practice are commonly known as "Flip Games" or straight out "Fake Games".
Now that we've cleared that up, we want to bring up something else related to the basic definition of the "flip games" or "asset flipping". Comunities in general state that there's nothing wrong with using pre-made assets, as long as developers MAKE their own original work WITH those assets and ADJUST them to MATCH the game they're developing.
To get to the point, we got sick and tired of seeing people call our work a practice of "asset flipping". As we stated before in previous comments on social media or in our posts, WE CHANGE THE ASSETS AND ADJUST THEM TO MATCH OUR GAME! We are a small studio, we don't have hundreds of developers working for us, we have one main developer and 3 others who work for us, one of those 3 being our Server developer!
To make something else clear for those who probably think of us as a scam, our project its in PRE-ALPHA and we are creating a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE GAME which has and will have PHOTOREAISTIC GRAPHICS. Every asset that we use for the game, has been bought or has been received by the specific owner as a support for the project! By buying assets from the Marketplace, we show our support for designers, developers and artists who do this for a main income or for an alternative source of income!
You can go on ahead and keep calling us a flip studio who is making a flip game, but keep in mind that you are insulting hours of work!
Every fund received by the studio goes into: pay those 3 developers or other developers who help us with minor things, pay hosting, pay website, pay servers, upgrade equipment.

With all that being said, we did not stop working on the projects! Here are some updates!

About This Game

BackToNormal is a new type of project named "All-In-One" game which has something for everyone! It's a life simulator, meaning you have to survive, adapt and craft. As you advance in game your can also customize houses and cars the way you have always wanted to! We would first like for players to try it in a solo experience, partly because some of our features are in progress, and we are working hard to perfect them and to give the best experience to the players before anything else and, partly because we want them to give us a fresh opinionated look onto what we have done so far and we would like them to explore the title as it is now, in its Alpha state.
The main idea around the game is based on combining different types of gameplay, for example: survival games, life simulator games, shooters, (partially) horror games and so on!
As for the studio, which has the same name as its first released game, it was founded a couple of years ago by a group of a few young people who wanted to "bring to the table" a new look into the game industry, their young and creative vision.
