What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“During our Closed Beta and Early Access, we’ve included an incredible amount of changes, fixes, and improvements, as well as the introduction of key new features along the way. Early Access represents a solid chunk of the game, with more to be added over the course of Early Access, with work-in-progress performance, both graphical and in terms of networking. Currently, Early Access version of Quake Champions includes a ton of content: 13 unique Champions (with more coming); quickplay modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Instagib, with Ranked Duel and 2v2 modes for players who want to try a competitive challenge; and 11 Arenas to battle in. Early Access also introduces purchasable items and significant customization options for players and their Champions. In short, it’s a lot of great Quake content, with even more to come in Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to go free-to-play during our Early Access period and will remain free-to-play into full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Throughout Early Access we have maintained a direct line of communication with our players through our game forums, where we not only monitor discussions but actively seek feedback on the game and specific systems as we introduce them. RUINS OF SARNATH

  • Unclipped invisible wall behind top of LG jumppad, so players can be knocked out of the ring and die
  • Unclipped the Mega Health grate, to allow both shots through from above and below. (Currently all weapons other than nails.)
  • Fixed issue where Sorlag would be unable to use RL teleporter in Ruins of Sarnath if in the air
  • Fixed Lower Teleporter exit by Tri-Bolt which wasn’t allowing Telefrags to occur
  • Fixed an issue where certain bricks near Obelisk A hd low resolution textures
  • Fixed an issue where stone floor trim textures were clipping into the grating around the Nailgun spawn
  • Fixed a small gap in geometry that was visible in the Courtyard room near Nailgun Spawner
  • Fixed a texture seam that was visible on a rock on the broken wall
  • Fixed an issue where players could be seen through the wall behind a jumpad
  • Fixed an issue where the metal wall decorations along the left of the back wall are not connected to the stone wall around them

  • Adjusted clipping that could cause the player to get caught on geometry above the jump pad in the Mega Health room
  • Fixed players take damage while standing on the ground near the Railgun acid pool

Server Reorganization Completed

UPDATE: Maintenance is complete, servers are now LIVE!

HEY QUAKERS,

At 10:00 EST/14:00 GMT today, Tuesday, February 26, there will be a brief maintenance as reorganize the datacenter selection menu to better illustrate which geographical regions each datacenter serves, and we will be spooling down servers that split population regions. By expanding coverage for each location in this way, players should see shorter queue times and have access to a wider pool of players for closer skill-based matchmaking.

After the update, players will be able to select from the following datacenters:

NA-East
NA-West
NA-Central
EU-Central
EU-East
ASPAC-North
ASPAC-Central
ASPAC-South
SA
