為何採用搶先體驗模式？

「Early Access gives us the opportunity to build The Other 99 into something that is bigger than just the development team. We want to use early access to gauge your views and get your feedback to help shape the future of The Other 99.」

這款遊戲的搶先體驗時間大約會持續多久？

「We have big plans for The Other 99 and we won't stop until this game has reached it's full potential. With every game purchased we step closer to being able to grow our development team and give you even more content.」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「We will be opening up swathes of new island landscape for you to explore, new deadly secret locations each with their own back story. More characters and story lines as well as an entire crafting system that will enable you to make or customise a multitude of weapons.

But most importantly it will contain some of the tweaks and features thought up by you, the community!」

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「We made a decision early on to make sure that our players could experience The Other 99 from day one. That is why our early access release will contain nearly all of the features the full game will have just on a reduced scale.」

遊戲售價在搶先體驗期間前後會有所變動嗎？

「Over the course of our early access we will be rolling out numerous content updates, bringing you more variety and even more ways to survive. We will also periodically roll out major updates, giving you new gameplay mechanics, new stories and maybe even some extensions to existing stories. These major updates will coincide with a price increase to better reflect what The Other 99 offers.」

在開發過程中，您打算如何與社群互動？

「Throughout our early access we will be paying very close attention to reviews, forum posts and bug reports. We want to make sure that every player that invests time into The Other 99 is rewarded with firstly excellent entertainment but secondly a proactive development team that engages with the community.

We will also develop our AI by watching how you play and making them learn and adapt. This means you can help us just by playing the game as you normally would!

關於此遊戲

The Other 99 is a single player, first-person, action-survival game. Ripped from your ordinary life you awaken on a desolate Hebridian island with nothing but a single note that reads, “The only way off the island is through The Other 99”

Described as a British Battle Royal, Lost meets Fight Club and digital Lord of the Flies.
The Other 99 is a game of mystery, exploration, brutal combat, stealthing mechanics and problem solving. But be careful: Permadeath is included!

One objective. Alternate playing styles. Getting off the island is your main objective.

Survival of the fittest: Do what it takes to get off the island. Follow the cryptic note and butcher your way to freedom. Only thing is.. many of the other 99 have the same idea.
Mind over matter: Keep focus and lurk amongst the bushes, tactically sabotaging camps and assassinating by the dead of night.
Discovery: Let animals be animals. Watch from a distance and decipher the mysteries of the island. Maybe there is more to the island than meets the eye.

Dynamic AI system

Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Simulations are hard at work in the background determining how AI’s move, kill and survive. This effects the world you play in and provides unique situations every time. Campfires are lit because AI have actually visited them and bodies are there because they have died, the world lives around you.

Large open world environment to explore

Pick up a lit torch and discover the lore and extensive backstory of the island through rock engravings, notes and environmental story telling.
Go where you please! Nothing is stopping you from walking to the other side of the playable area. Well.. Potentially 99 psychologically damaged murderous people.

Dynamic day-night cycle and ever changing weather system

Keep track of day and night cycles as this will change visibility on both you and the other 99. Lighting fires at night or running through open fields during the day are decisions you must make.
Weather can be unforgiving, rain blocking out the sound of footsteps and thunder illuminating the path ahead are elements you can use to your tactical advantage.

Hunger and thirst

Maintaining hunger and thirst doesn’t just keep you alive, it ensures you are strong for every encounter you face.
Explore more efficiently by keeping well hydrated.
Kill more efficiently by maintaining your nutrition.

Puzzle and problem solving

Solve perspective puzzles, collect components and decipher notes. These will lead to greater rewards and bring you closer to understanding what is happening on the island.

And Much More. Including 8 trading cards, 5 profile backgrounds, 7 emoticons, 5 level badges, and an awesome foil badge.

Throughout the Early Access process we’ll be listening to everyone’s feedback and incorporating that into our roadmap. Here is the current crop of things we will be focusing on during the development period ahead.
