What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access to The Riese Project is a unique opportunity to co-create the game. Players have the chance to actively participate in the creative process, shaping the story, mechanics, and atmosphere together with us. With each update, we will introduce new content, and your feedback will have a direct impact on the game's development. This is not just a game – it’s a creative journey that evolves with you.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Riese Project will be in Early Access for approximately 18–24 months. This time frame may change depending on the results of testing and the feedback from the community. Each update will bring new locations, chapters, and deeper narrative elements, and we want to ensure that the game evolves naturally, based on the community’s feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of The Riese Project will be the result of our continuous development, which we are starting now in Early Access. With each update, we plan to add new chapters, locations, events, and mechanics. We are considering expanding the story, enhancing interactions, and improving immersion, but the specifics of the full version will depend on the feedback we gather from the community and the results of our tests. We are not making firm promises about the exact features, but we aim to develop the game in collaboration with the players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Riese Project currently offers a fully playable prologue that introduces the main story. It is stable, fully voiced, and available in both VR and FPP modes. The prologue presents the core gameplay and sets the stage for the world of Riese. In each subsequent update, we will introduce new content and technical improvements to make the gameplay more engaging and immersive.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price of The Riese Project will increase as we add new chapters, mechanics, and content. Early Access offers players the chance to purchase the game at a lower price and actively participate in its creation. As new content and features are introduced, the price will rise, so now is the best time to join and support the development of this independent project.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is at the heart of The Riese Project's development. We gather feedback on the Steam forums and through social media channels. Your suggestions have a real impact on the game’s development, and each update will be based on your feedback. We are open to your ideas and want you to feel like you're co-creating this game with us. Your role in the creative process is invaluable.”

About This Game

THE RIESE PROJECT

Sometimes a place remembers more than people do.

The Riese Project is an immersive first-person narrative thriller for PC and VR — where realism meets unease.
In the heart of the mountains, where concrete and stone merge with silence, something still waits — unseen, but present.

It won’t tell you a story.
You’ll become part of it.

Deformed corridors.
Traces of those who disappeared.
A silence that isn’t empty.

A world that reacts to your presence — watches, listens, remembers.

This is a story about places that never forgot,
about sounds returning too late,
and about space that speaks instead of people.

Don’t look for a goal.
Find meaning in what remains when everything else falls silent.

The Riese Project in Early Access marks the first chapter of a larger journey — a fragment of something that continues to grow and evolve.
Each update will uncover new layers and new questions.
And the answers? They may never come.

You don’t need to buy anything to step into this world — a free prologue awaits in silence.
But if the echo answered you differently, if curiosity still pulls you deeper, this is where your path begins.

Listen.
This place still speaks.
