Miksi Early Access?

Detective Modo is a passion project from a solo developer. I want to launch in Early Access to refine and elevate the experience with your direct input, ensuring it hits the mark for puzzle fans and narrative enthusiasts.

My primary goals for EA are focused and achievable:

Overhaul the visual style: Completely redoing the background art to create more immersive, hand-crafted environments that enhance the moody detective vibe. This will be done within 6-12 months.

Expand audio immersion: Adding voice acting for all characters and ambient sound design to bring dialogues and scenes to life. Voice work will be fully implemented within 6 months.

I'm fully committed to this journey—I've already invested over 2 years in prototyping and core mechanics, and EA is my way of iterating based on real player feedback. Expect regular updates every 2-3 weeks, transparent dev logs on Steam forums/Discord, and a clear roadmap to full release within 12-18 months. Your thoughts on puzzle balance, art style, mood, and voice delivery will shape the final product, helping me avoid solo-dev blind spots and deliver a polished, complete detective tale. The aim is for 2026.

The Early Access version includes the full story, all puzzles, and every core gameplay feature. Before the full release, I plan to expand and polish the experience by:

- Adding additional character portrait variations (expressions such as smiling, frowning, surprised, etc.)
- Completing and refining voice acting for all dialogue lines
- Improving visual effects, sound design, and minor quality-of-life features (such as accessibility options and performance optimizations)
- Incorporating community feedback to balance pacing, dialogue, and overall polish
- Add more cutscenes
- Improve the filler dialogue

The full version will therefore feel more immersive and polished, but the main story content is already playable from start to finish in Early Access.

Community feedback will be an important part of shaping Detective Modo during Early Access. Players are encouraged to share their thoughts, report issues, and suggest improvements — especially regarding dialogue, pacing, and visual design.

I’ll be gathering feedback through the Steam Community Hub discussions and social channels, and I plan to actively respond to suggestions and ideas. If players would like to contribute more directly (for example with voice recordings, art, or writing suggestions), I’d love to collaborate where possible to make Detective Modo even more memorable.
