“Dystopia VS Distortion” is a pedalboard-building roguelike where you battle by building a deck out of guitar effect pedals. Like crafting a pedalboard, the order and combination of pedals you play each turn change the nature of your attacks, creating a fresh, tactical combat feel.

Pedals purchased at shops come in many varieties—overdrive, delay, compressor, booster, and more. Gather a wide range of effects and build your own ultimate board. Some pedals have wildly over-the-top quirks, too…!

In a ruined dystopia, reclaim hearts with a guitar

Once, humanity abandoned its bodies and chose mechanical shells, seeking eternal prosperity. It didn’t last. A runaway control system turned them into slaughter machines, and they became a threat to the few humans who stayed flesh.

Years passed. In the ruins, a lone girl found an instrument called a “guitar.”
It became the one hope to restore heart to the world.
She plays today as well—if only to drown out the worst of feelings.
