Fear Effect features stylized yet intense animated violence, including frequent shootouts, melee combat, and graphic depictions of blood, injury, and death. Players will encounter supernatural enemies such as zombies. Despite its anime-style visuals, the game includes some horror-inspired scenes, sudden deaths, deadly traps, corpses that create a dark tone. Suggestive themes and partial nudity are also present, with character in revealing outfits throughout the game.
