The Countess, lacking sufficient authority to manage the county's affairs, finds herself in an extremely difficult position. This forces the Countess to increase security and enlist the service of the most skilled specialists.

After many years spent in battles, Manuel Vermonda decides to renounce the sword and start a new life in seclusion, dedicating himself to drawing and reading books.
