About This Game

Please visit the community hub for additional info regarding the game's release.

In Lux Leonarii - A Mechanical Puzzle Adventure, you solve puzzles using beams of light, with more complex interactions as you progress through the levels.

Lux Leonarii doesn’t feature any sort time pressure to solve the levels, so you can relax and take all the time you need, and puzzle your way through 15 levels.

Key features

• Interactions between tiles, from simple A to B connections with a single colour, to up to 7 different colours, multiple reflections on the same mirror, fifty-fold reflections, and utilizing all available tiles, so things will get complicated.

• Escalating difficulty: At first it might seem easy, and the first few levels are, but once multiple beams have to share the same mirror, it can become quite challenging to figure out what mirror needs to be used for which specific beam, resulting in cases where you might manage to get four beams connected easily, only to realize the fifth you just unlocked needs to somehow be included as well.

• Possible multiple solutions: while I obviously ensure that each level can in fact be solved (or can they?), some levels offer multiple paths and constellations for the beams to be arranged in.

• Lux Leonarii is a mechanical puzzle, meaning your actions are immediately visible in real time. So, if there is a beam being interrupted by an obstacle, you will be able to see it immediately and might even be able to nudge the mirrors slightly to bypass it. Or the opening process of a door might move said door to interrupt another beam, possibly the very same one that is opening it.

• If you are here only for the puzzle aspect of the game, the "puzzle only" difficulty will allow you to ignore the adventure aspect of the game (collecting, crafting, health).

• Extensive options: along with the basics (graphics, audio, keybinds), there are additional settings for things like the light intensity of the beams, different puzzle modes, and UI options.

Notes

• The game features a demo including the first five levels so you can ensure you enjoy the type of misery the game offers, and your progress will carry over to the full version if you decide you want more.

• This is a puzzle game first and foremost, with the "Adventure" tag covering the exploration, looting, and crafting aspect. Besides the environmental design, there is no story told.
