Varför Early Access?

“Cabin Corpse is technically my first game, and it is very big in scale compared to most visual novels. Releasing in early access allows me to test out new features while receiving feedback from the community. I'd also like to get feedback on the direction of the story as well”

“It's taken a lot of hard work to get the game to where it currently is, not just story-wise, but coding, music, game design, etc. Majority of all the technical work is done and now my focus is more on story and adding gameplay content.

There are 7 Chapters in total planned for Cabin Corpse, each running at around 2-5 hours, depending on how you play. At the time of release, the story should be entering Chapter 3.
Development time per chapter is about 16-18 weeks with about 10-12 updates in-between. If I did this full time, I could complete the game in 1-2 years.

Depending on the complexity of future updates, I may divide the chapters into two separate Seasons. Season 1 containing Chapters 1-3, and Season 2 containing Chapters 4-7”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“I plan to include a better UI, more bonus scenes and fun side-quests, and I would also like to replace some old static scenes with animations.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“On release, there will be 2 complete chapters with about 6 hours of gameplay.
Most, if not all the gameplay mechanics have already been implemented.
Thoroughly tested and bug-free.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“There are two options I'm considering, and the second one is becoming more likely to be my final choice.

1. Once the game's development is near its completion, the price will be updated with a small (about 20%) increase which will serve as the final price tag.

2. This version of the game will remain the same price, then I will create a second Season with a similar price, which will contain the remaining Chapters 4-7.”

“I always welcome feedback from players, the easiest way to reach me is through my Discord. I post updates frequently, read all my DMs and try to respond to everyone's concerns on the game and it's developement.”
