What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“is not just a game; it's an evolving digital adventure shaped by your enthusiasm and feedback. Here's why we're launching in Early Access:

1 - Co-Create With Us : Your insights are integral. By participating in Early Access, you become a co-creator. Help us fine-tune our mechanics, squash pesky bugs (both literal and digital!), and expand the universe of "Bug Blasters."

2 - Grow the Community : Be part of the vanguard in a burgeoning community of defenders fighting against the digital bug invasion. Share strategies, forge alliances, and build friendships in a game that grows with its players.

3 - Early Access, Early Fun : Why wait for the final release? Dive into the action now and start blasting! Experience the core gameplay today and anticipate exciting content updates influenced by your experience and suggestions.

4 - Testing the Digital Waters : Early Access is our proving ground, a chance to test the game's stability, optimize performance, and ensure that when we hit 'version 1.0', it's a game that has not just been tested, but battle-hardened and player-approved.

5 - Early Birds Get the Rewards : Early supporters will receive exclusive updates, behind-the-scenes looks, and special bonuses as a token of our appreciation. Your early commitment will never go unrecognized.

in Early Access is about more than just playing a game early — it's about shaping the game's destiny and being part of a creative journey that's as unpredictable and exciting as the gameplay itself. Join us, blast some bugs, and leave your mark on the game's legacy!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“aims to be in Early Access for approximately 12 to 18 months. Our mission is to ensure that when we graduate from Early Access, the game will not only be polished and bug-free but also expanded with content that resonates with our community. This timeline gives us the flexibility to incorporate player feedback thoroughly, to experiment with new features, and to iterate on existing mechanics to deliver a satisfying and complete gaming experience. However, development can be unpredictable, and we are committed to not rushing the process. We'll keep our community updated every step of the way as we journey towards the official launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

District Panic is envisioned to be a significantly enhanced and more polished experience compared to the Early Access version. Here’s what players can expect:

More Content: We plan to introduce more levels, enemies, and power-ups. The final version will boast a larger variety of bugs to blast and digital landscapes to defend.

Enhanced Gameplay Mechanics: Based on community feedback, we’ll refine the controls, improve the UI, and tweak the balance of the game to ensure a smooth and engaging experience.

Story Development: The full release will feature a more fleshed-out narrative. Expect deeper lore, character backstories, and cutscenes that bring the world of "Bug Blasters" to life.

Additional Game Modes: We’re looking to add new modes of play, such as time challenges, survival mode, and perhaps even a multiplayer component if it aligns with player desires and the game's direction.

Polished Graphics and Audio: Graphics and sound effects will be refined. Expect higher resolution textures, more detailed animations, and a more vibrant soundscape in the final product.

Robust Performance: We'll be focusing on optimizing the game to run smoothly across a wide range of systems, reducing bugs, and ensuring stability.

Community-Inspired Features: We're open to suggestions! Features that resonate strongly with the community may find their way into the final game.

The journey from Early Access to full release is all about building upon the foundation we've laid out. It's not just about adding more but also about enriching the whole experience to deliver a game that players will return to time and time again.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At Early Access the game already has all of its core mechanics implemented, and I will use the Early Access period to expand upon them ( refer to the "About This" section for more detailed information, as they will be referenced there ).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We have no plans to increase the price during nor after Early Access”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are adding a Discord Server for the Community the be part of the game, and be more involved with Features development and testing, as well as lore and strategy discussions.”
