About This Game

Who leads the cheerleaders? YOU do! Build your squad, show your spirit, and be the cheerleader New York needs! Cheer for fame, fun, and liberty! Eccentric gangs rule the streets; battle them with your cheer skills, and lead the city out of the darkness.

"Cheerleader's Choice: New York Spirit" is an interactive novel by Charli Battersby. It's entirely text-based, without graphics or sound effects. Your cheerleading career will be powered by your spirit and imagination. You'll cheer and you'll lead! In a game you read.

  • Based on the author's experience as a real cheerleader.
  • Survive in the futuristic dystopia of present-day New York.
  • Start as a newbie, and climb to team captain. Or storm off the team and form a renegade pompom squad.
  • Choose your position in your stunt pod, and master cheer stunts.
  • Challenge quirky gangs to dance-offs, but don't get served by the Fancy Lads, or Bad Mittens!
  • Use cheerleading skills to solve mysteries and engage in espionage missions.
  • Devote yourself to altruism, or live the glamorous life as a famous "Cheer-lebrity."
  • Will you transform into the cheerleader New York deserves? Or are you the pompom vigilante New York needs?
  • Design your team's uniform! Be classic, sexy, sporty, or utterly bizarre.
  • Discover the secret identity of the masked crime-fighter known as "The Spirit Stick."
  • Explore real locations in New York, and cheer everywhere from Central Park, to Coney Island. Can you win the hotdog eating contest?
  • Play as male or female. Fresh out of college, or "Of a certain age."
  • Will you be a seasoned New Yorker, or a tourist who can't pronounce Houston Street?
  • Defy cheerleader stereotypes. Or, like, embrace them and whatever?
