From the opening crawl you are a prisoner, condemned to die by car combat. You escape the stadium and into the crowds. And from there, who knows...

The violence is pretty light, but like Twisted Metal there are pedestrians that can be struck by cars. Vehicles and pedestrians are lo-res and pixelated. During fights, enemies catch on fire, scream and explode into a red cloud in a cartoonish style. Violence is generally set in an unrealistic and humorous tone. Drugs and crime are referenced in cutscenes and character bios.
