Varför Early Access?

“King of Retail was primarily made while in Early Access. Many features, and ideas in the game came directly from the requests of the community. That leads to a game that is in part made by the players, for the players.
And since it was a great success doing it this way, i would like to copy this recipe again.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“I felt King of Retail could have used a bit longer time in Early Access. Many features were a bit rushed, as well some nice ones missing. So this time we will be in Early Access for as long as obvious features that adds to the core game needs to be implemented. So we are talking several years at this stage.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The full game will be the complete suite of owning a complete retail chain. My goal is to allow you to manage multiple stores simultaneously.
  • - Have a deep control of your employes, who now have evolving lives, relationships, dreams and requests.
  • - Manage you article lineup by negotiation and managing your reputation with the suppliers.
  • - Very deep customization that allows you to create the shop of your dreams.
  • - Bringing more depth to the Corporate manager experience. Your HQ is also now a busy place of decisions, control and influence.
  • - More events in the stores. Webshop management, storage deliveries, returns, complaining customers etc.
And many other things. Over the duration of Early Access these things will be implemented over time, as the game nears the end of procution for the final release.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Now is the base game, with running your store and taking care of customers etc. HQ experience, as well as Concept evolving is very barebones.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“Yes, at end of Early Access there will be a price increase, as it at this point will be a complete product.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We already have a thriving Discord which you are welcome to join. Here are many channels dedicated to receive feedback form the players, on which implementations you would like, good ideas etc. Beta testing will also be performed by players, which is a major resource in finding bugs. Lastly, last game was also largely community translated, and this i would like to continue as well.”
