Using psychological science and engaging gameplay, REThink offers an accessible, entertaining, and effective approach to preventing emotional disorders in young people.

In REThink, players embark on an adventure alongside RETMAN, a superhero who practices Rational Emotive and Behavioral Therapy (REBT). Together, they work to save the minds of Earth's inhabitants from the powers of the nefarious Irrationalizer. With each level, players gain valuable emotional skills and learn to master their thoughts and emotions, all while having fun.

  • Therapeutic Gameplay: REThink combines the expertise of psychologists with engaging game design, providing a scientifically-backed and enjoyable experience for young players.

  • Emotional Skills Development: Players build essential emotional skills that are crucial for leading a happy and successful life, including understanding emotions, mindfulness, and changing negative thoughts.

  • Challenging Levels: Each level is designed to teach players a unique skill to help them overcome the Irrationalizer's influence and restore the bright mind on Earth.

  • REBT-Based Superhero: RETMAN, the game's protagonist, practices Rational Emotive and Behavioral Therapy to guide players through their emotional journey.

  • Mobile Compatibility: Initially developed for iOS, REThink has been refined and extended to work on all mobile devices, making it accessible to a wider audience. The current version can be played on PC and VR.

  • Scientifically Proven: The efficacy of REThink has been tested in a randomized clinical trial, demonstrating significant improvements in participants' depressive moods, emotion-regulation abilities, and cognitions.

  • Supported by Grants: REThink is backed by the REThinkWELL grant (PN-III-P2-2.1-PED-2019-3837) and the REThink Emotions grant (PCE 136⁄2021-2023), ensuring its development is rooted in scientific research and innovation.
