“As this is the first game I am releasing on steam, releasing in early access will allow me the time to make the game the best it can be by the time I launch the final version. I'll also have the time to refine the games store page/presentation and learn the ins and outs of releasing a game on the steam platform in an effective way.”

“I'm hoping to finish development within the next 5 to 6 months, but, as I am the sole developer, I can't expect there not to be any hiccups along the way. I don't want to rush and release a game that doesn't feel good to play or that has a boring or unfinished gameplay loop. I would rather take the extra time, where needed, to release a game that players want to keep playing, or play again, than to release a half baked and unsatisfying experience.”

“While all of this is planned, some features might change, be added, or be scrapped depending on how beneficial they are to the over all experience of STARR RINGER.

The plan, for the full version of STARR RINGER, is to have tons of interesting enemies through the 4 main difficulties plus an extra unlockable "Cosmic Horror" difficulty with unique enemies not seen in the other 4 difficulties. A Story mode along with Endless and Boss Rush modes, including a local coop setting with its own set of leaderboards. I plan for the player to be able to customize the look of their character avatar, which in effect should change some aspects of dialogue within the Story mode, and to unlock new aesthetics as they play through the game. There will also be secrets to find and puzzles to unravel for more in-depth lore about the games story and universe.”

“Currently the game has endless mode, full controller support, customizable controls, Achievements and online leaderboards. You can play endless mode until your ship is destroyed, in which case you can either upload your score to the leaderboards or quit back to the menu.”

“No, the price will not change when leaving early access. STARR RINGER will always be the same price.”

“I stream development of STARR RINGER live on twitch as a way to get feedback and keep my community updated on what is planned. Currently my schedule is sporadic around my day job, but, with the release into early access, I hope to turn this into my full time career. I also stay connected with my community through discord, showing updates, getting feedback, and talking about ideas for the game.”
