Why Early Access?

“The Chronicler is our very own Open-World RPG, a big project in the hands of a small team of two developers. We're aware of our limitations, and that's why we want to involve our community as soon as possible. Through your valuable feedback, suggestions, crazy ideas, and bug reports, we'll be able to enrich the game in ways we couldn't on our own.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current plan is to release the game in early 2022; however, this may change depending on the number of features we add and how the game progresses through Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the coming months, we're going to add content to the game: new skills, equipment, loot, weapons, map areas, enemies, quests, visual and quality of life improvements...and possibly some of the content suggested by our community!

We're going to unlock new areas of the map in upcoming updates, providing access to new challenges, adventures, and secrets hiding in Isola Benedicta.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Chronicler is currently in Alpha. The latest build provides a good foundation with many systems and gameplay mechanics in place. Although much more content will come in future updates, the game currently offers players 18 map areas, many skills to develop, caves to explore, monsters to fight, and quests to complete.

Of course, because the game is in an early stage of development, there are also some bugs and balancing issues that might affect the game experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep the same price for the first few months, but as soon as we have enough content and features in the game we'll gradually raise the price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our community will be involved in every step of development, encouraged to provide us feedback and suggestions in Steam Discussions. We also plan to post often about the creation process.”
