Why Early Access?

“We even call it Rapid Early Access. We start Early Access even earlier than some other games, because we believe, it can be a fun experience for players to really see a game growing from a small version to a big title.
This said, we always aim to have a mostly bug-free and stable version!
While we have lots of exciting ideas for Kingdom Builders, we want to make sure we only add features to the game that are fun for players. We're not perfectionist game designers in an ivory tower. Instead we want to get your feedback and your ideas as quickly as possible, so we can make an awesome game for you, with you.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Probably about 12-18 months. But we plan on updating this game for years! We see this project as a Game-As-A-Service, with new content and improvements even after the full launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“At the moment, the game has very limited content.The full version will have content for many more hours, improved graphics and many more mechanics:
Our Early Access release features 2 distinct areas to explore. For the full version we plan to have at least 6 different areas, each with new themes, enemy types, resources and level mechanics.

Other features planned for the full version are:

• Defense buildings and enemy sieges on your settlement

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Checkout the "About This" section, everything there is already in the game!
Right now we have a MVG - a minimum viable game. It is the most important essence of the core vision for Kingdom Builders.
That means if you play now, you'll get the core idea and hopefully will already have a good time.
But there is still so much content we want to add and improve!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

We will update the game every few weeks. Every review and feedback will directly impact what we will work on in the next two weeks. The best way to involve yourself in the process is by joing our Discord Server. There we will have votes, surveys, an ideas-box and will show current developments.”
