Why Early Access?

“Stream Quest is a project that started as a Game Jam and has grown with the support of the Streaming community (both my own and many others).
I was convinced to turn it into a full project, including a ground-up rebuild of the entire codebase, after the support and reception to the prototype version.

Now, as a solo developer, I've got a lot of work ahead of me and early access allows those that are interested to sample the program and provide valuable feedback on features and things they'd like to see!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Stream Quest should be in early access for no more than 12 months, depending on how many new ideas I try and shove into it based on feedback.
I have a lot of things I want to add to it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Stream Quest will be much more feature-complete and is planned to include a much higher level of customisation (including the player sprite), a random dungeon mode as well as a full story mode to increased playability.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the project is basically complete - a selection of enemies, full functionality of everything except magic and a selection of levels to play through with more being added all the time.
It is in active development which I stream most weekdays on twitch.tv/richardstampdev”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game might go up slightly on full release, but has currently been priced in line with final pricing to help support additional development in the form of commissioned artists and programmers. It's a big job on my own!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a game that is built entirely around being played by a Streamers community, feedback is essential and I will be getting as many people involved as possible in creating a dedicated feedback and action community to ensure the game stays relevant and engaging throughout.”
