How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, our focus lies on the following improvements:

  • Refine the three base factions in terms of uniqueness and feel
  • Finalize spellcaster abilities
  • Add higher AI difficulties
  • Add stealth mechanic
  • Continually add more customizable co-op factions
  • Add more biomes and missions

Art
  • Overhaul the current low-poly 3D models to a high-poly, detailed art style
  • Upgrade the UI
  • Improve sound effects and extend soundtrack

  • Add matchmaking and ranked play
  • Add in-game tournaments
  • Add more social features for closer interactions with friends

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, you can play tutorial challenges, cooperative missions with 1-4 players on procedurally generated maps in three unique biomes or competitively with up to 8 players or AI on a dozen handcrafted skirmish maps. There are three factions for competitive play and one faction for missions.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“All factions for competitive play will remain free to play indefinitely. We might add purchasable, purely cosmetic content to those factions.

The mission factions that are free in Early Access will also be free on the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to fully include the Early Access program to polish Arcane Wilds to its best potential. It is likely that the involvement of the community will add new ideas we would like to explore. We would love to hear your opinion and discuss any aspects of the game with you on reddit, discord and the Steam community forums. We are interested in opinions of both unexperienced and experienced RTS players.”

About This Game

Arcane Wilds offers a new perspective on the RTS genre. Resources such as supplies and essence remain local at their gathering site and must be transported to where they will be used. This also means that you can steal resources from your opponents.



  • Gather supplies to build your base and gain access to more troops. Harvest essence to cast powerful spells and research technologies.
  • Defeat mighty creatures for powerful relics and additional resources.
  • Order shipments of troops, workers and vehicles to any harbor you control.


  • Army: Powerful arsenal of exceptionally well trained units. Their low mobility is easily compensated by their high range and the superb fire power of their cannons.
  • Colony: A thrown-together gang of gunslingers. Explosive barrels and dynamite add to the rapid firing of gatling guns to create a well rounded force.
  • Tribe: Fast, agile units with movable structures. Medicine men and shamans cause devastating chaos among enemies.



  • Win by crushing your opponents or by snatching relics.
  • Play on handcrafted skirmish maps with or without AI.
  • Online or LAN for up to 8 players.


  • Customizable factions derived from the three base factions with a progression system.
  • Procedurally generated maps in three unique biomes.
