為何採用搶先體驗模式？

「I've been working on Curvy for 10 years now, with several versions on Steam already. Curvy3D GO is a streamlined, simpler version of Curvy that we hope will suit brand new 3D artists, and be a fun toy for more established 3D users.

I've got all the core functionality working - it is a matter of simplifying down and making it really easy for new users to pick up and start modelling and sculpting. For that I need feedback from new users, what they find tricky, what they would find useful.」

「I expect to be in early access for 2 years, to match up with the release schedule for Curvy 3D 5 - the big brother to GO.」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「We are planning new in-app help and documentation features - so you don't have to reach for a manual. Also hope to add selection of ready made parts and prefabs so you can explore the range of things you can create faster, before you learn enough to create your own objects and brushes from scratch.

Other things we plan to add are a shapes library, a material library, high-res screenshots with antialiasing.

We hope to move towards a new simplified UI that is suitable for tablet PCs and younger artists.」

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「The current version is a trimmed down version of the latest Curvy 3D 5 Beta. It is fully functional, but more complex than it will be in the end (The final version should be both simpler and more powerful).

All the features mentioned in the About This section are ready to use on Early Access, and you can currently sketch and sculpt models ready for rendering in other software - as can be seen in the video trailer.」

軟體售價在搶先體驗期間前後會有所變動嗎？

「I expect to gradually increase the price over the course of Early Access and then level out at the full price when it reaches launch.」

在開發過程中，您打算如何與社群互動？

「I am very keen to take on the ideas of the community - both for simplifying and making it easier to learn, as well as feature ideas and enhancements.

A huge proportion of the ideas in the existing versions of Curvy 3D came from the generous feedback of the artist community.

I will be active on the Steam Community forums chasing down bugs and following up content ideas. The Steam Community is the best way to get in touch during Early Access.

The main Curvy 3D forums are also open for tutorials and feedback with the existing community of Curvy artists. Latest news and updates will be on twitter, instagram and facebook.

I plan to push regular updates over the comings months so you can see the project take shape and grow with your feedback.」
