Why Early Access?

“We are a small team of developers who believe that to make a successful game we need to get the community involved as soon as possible. Braverz is playable in its current state and we have a vision for the game, however we need that crucial feedback that only engaged players can provide. Just by playing the game and joining the discussion you will be helping us deliver a game that lives to its full potential.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At this stage it is difficult to provide an exact date for the release of the full game, however we are planning to stay in Early Access from 6 to 12 months. Game development is tricky by nature and comes with many unpredictable challenges. Our main goal is to make sure the game launches in a state that is satisfactory to us and the community, whenever that might be.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Many of the core elements of Braverz are already in place. However, we have a myriad of improvements and changes that we would like to deploy before the final version is released.

Some of these planned activities are:

-Improved Interface
-Implementing more content: maps, player weapons, armor, siege weapons, etc)
-Polished Gameplay
-More Champions with unique skills
-Player inventory
-Buying / unlocking equipment
-New enemy types
-Smarter AI
-Expanded support for other languages
-Epic Music

The final version of the game should be as bug free as possible since we will be taking care of those during Early Access.

Our road map is very comprehensive but might change as we listen to the community.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Braverz is stable, playable and already contains most of the elements that will be available in the full version. The basic game loop is complete, however it is still missing some of the strategic components that will add more complexity to the game. At this point in time we have implemented the following features.

-Co-Op Multiplayer is fully functional.
-Players can log in and choose from a variety of champions with different skills/play styles.
-The winter map is complete and available for exploration.
-Combat has been implemented but is not fully fleshed out (for Early Access some champions may not have all skills available)
-Leveling system is functional and champions will be able to increase their level and grow in power.
-Boss and Enemies dynamically scale to keep things challenging.
-Emote system to keep things fun

Players can expect minor and major bugs (some might be quite fun). Just report them and we will squash them.

All the key features listed under 'About This Game' are implemented, however we are looking forward to adding many more awesome features during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price may increase moderately when we release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to rely heavily on feedback from the community as we embark on this journey. We love to openly discuss the current state of development, new features and planned improvements, so please feel free to use any means of communication (Discord,Steam Forums, Social media) to get in touch with us. Discord will be the most reliable, but all others will work too. We are looking forward to your feedback in terms of experience, overall fun, balancing and polishing so don’t be shy.”
