Why Early Access?

“The Perfect Tower II was built together with the community. Player involvement and feedback is key to the development of this game. In August 2019 the first closed alpha version was launched and the game has been available for testing ever since. We want to continue to keep the development open and inviting to player contributions.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“While we have an end goal in mind and a roadmap in place, we listen to the community and take the time to implement suggestions and fix bugs. We want to make this game the best experience we can. Therefor it’s hard to tell how long the game is actually going to be in Early Access, but we expect it to be at least another year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“When The Perfect Tower II launches on Steam it will contain most of the game mechanics as well as early- to mid-game content. During Early Access we will replace the Laboratory experiments, add more content (modules, late-game, …) and overall polish the game.

We plan to spent a lot of time balancing modules and improving game mechanics as well as the user interface.

Our living roadmap will be publicly available throughout the development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the game is very playable. Most of the game’s mechanics are done, but lack polish. There is a lot of content to discover and experiment with. The AI, which can be used to automated most of the game, is fully functional but will receive another overhaul during an AI related themed update.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We decided that the base game will be free and we don’t plan to change this at any point.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Perfect Tower II has been developed from the ground up with our community on Discord (https://discord.gg/fireswordstudios). This is the best place to be part of the conversation and to contribute to the game. We plan on continuing and expanding on this with Steam throughout Early Access.”
