Miksi Early Access?

We have a known driver incompatibility that will keep us in Early Access as long as it is not resolved.

Known incompatibilities:

• AMD or Intel GPUs are not supported. We require Nvidia 3D Vision.
  
• NVidia drivers 456.38 or greater are not currently supported. NVidia broke DX11 3D Vision in these drivers. We are investigating, but may not be able to resolve this problem.
  
• RTX 3080, 3090, or 3070 require newer drivers and are thus not currently supported.
  
• No DX12 games are currently working in 3D.
  
• Gaming laptops require an external monitor.

Try our Free Demo to get a quick look at how it works and looks. The Demo will display a stereoscopic slideshow on the giant screen. You cannot play games in the Demo, but the adjustable screen and environment is fully functional. Free, 100M download, worth your 5 minutes.

NVidia 3D Vision is required for HelixMods to generate the stereoscopic images. Since NVidia 3D Vision is now a legacy product, as time goes by it may get harder to keep working. We want to get this out as soon as possible, so as many people as possible can enjoy the wonders of HelixMods. Currently you can use any NVidia Driver.

Keep in mind that HelixVision is fundamentally modding. If you enjoy PC gaming because of the ability to modify the experience far past what the game devs ever see- you will enjoy HelixVision.

HelixVision is currently fully functional at a beta level of quality. There is a limited set of compatible games, but for the ones that work, the experience is of good quality and you can play full games.

This is modding. You should enjoy tweaking your games for maximum effect. If you don't enjoy modding, and prefer a console experience, HelixVision is not for you.

At least for six months, maybe longer. We will remain in Early Access until we can resolve the incompatibility with drivers 456.38 and greater.

At Early Access, we currently support about 150 games. User feedback will be key in deciding which of the 900 HelixMod games to bring to HelixVision.

We expect to improve the UI, including easier ways to adjust the 3D separation and convergence.

Future versions are expected to support Steam WorkShop, which will allow you to build and share custom VR environments.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Currently running well with a limited set of supported HelixMod games. Our forum link will give you a list of Supported Games that will always be up to date. Performance is good, ease of use is good, quality of the image is good.

Some of the supported games will hang on exit, but we do not consider that a disqualifying bug. This is modding. You can expect an occasional crash or hang. You can also expect some VR related problems, like VR occasionally needing to be restarted in order to completely work. There are likely glitches in our working list of games, that require manual workarounds.

Is HelixVision for you?

You should enjoy modding, which is pretty much the point of using a PC and not a console. You can expect to run into glitches and problems. Although we try hard to simplify the experience and make it robust, HelixVision is not and never will be a console experience. Modding is terrific and fun, and you get to experience things no one else sees, but naturally it doesn't always work smoothly.

Known incompatibilities:

All other Nvidia cards will work, including the Super cards.

We expect the price to go up as our game compatibility improves. If we can resolve the driver incompatibility, we expect to leave Early Access at a much higher price.
