Utvikleren av dette spillet har planer om å gi det ut som et pågående arbeid, og utvikle det med tilbakemeldinger fra spillere.

Hva utviklerne har å si:

Hvorfor tidlig tilgang?

«Everything that we produce is research-based and constantly being iterated on. If CrashCourse doesn’t live up to your expectations, we want to hear about it! Additionally, we plan on adding many different experiences that feature a variety of different sports. All of those experiences will be released within this app once we’ve finished developing them, but we want to share each part as soon as it's ready.»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«It’s never easy to know when the iteration process will end, but we hope to have the complete suite of CrashCourse experiences done by the end of 2020.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«The current version only includes the CrashCourse Football Interactive Film. Our plan is to continue adding different sports and different types of experiences over the next couple of years. In the end, CrashCourse will consist of four parts:

1. Multi-sport Interactive 360 Films
-Short interactive 360 films that put the viewer in the perspective of a young athlete. The early access film features Stanford football players, including All-American Bryce Love, sharing the latest medical knowledge about concussion prevention and treatment.

2. Symptoms Simulator
-Young people don’t always know what a concussion looks and feels like. The Symptoms Simulator will help them recognize the signs and symptoms of a concussion, and empathize with anyone who has this invisible injury.

3. Brain Fly-Through
-Using Stanford Medicine’s cutting-edge technology, the Brain Fly-Through lets young people explore a real human brain, and visualize its complexity.

4. Training Secrets of Sports Heroes
-This series of short films with respected athletes will raise awareness about concussions and shift the conversation away from fear and silence towards knowledge and empowerment.»

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«Current version includes the CrashCourse Football Interactive 360 Film which drops you into the POV of a high school football player who experiences a concussion. You're then taken to the Stanford Football Stadium where Stanford football players teach you about how to recognize concussions and prevent further injury.»

Vil spillet være priset annerledes under og etter tidlig tilgang?

«Nope! CrashCourse will always be free.»

Hvordan planlegger dere å involvere samfunnet i utviklingsprosessen?

«The Community’s feedback is extremely important to us. We still have many experiences to develop and add to the CrashCourse app, so it’s very possible that your feedback will have a direct impact on how future CrashCourse experiences look! If you don’t like how something looks, how a feature works, or if you’re experiencing bugs of any kind, please let us know by writing a review.»

Om spillet

CrashCourse is concussion education reimagined for today's generation. This interactive 360 experience features star players from the Stanford football team, including All-American running back Bryce Love, along with Stanford Captains Alameen Murphy, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Brandon Simmons, and wide-receiver Trenton Irwin. This film brings you directly onto the field during a high school football game to share the latest medical knowledge on the prevention and treatment of concussions. All materials were designed in partnership with leading subject matter experts and were evaluated using a rigorous research-based design process, which was conducted through Stanford University and formally approved by their Institutional Review Board.

The Problem

Millions of young people around the world are getting injured because they lack basic health education. More than 2.5 million young people suffer a concussion in the United States each year. With proper care, most concussions can heal within 10 days, but the overwhelming majority of students, parents, and coaches are unaware of the latest science about prevention and treatment of concussions. If not treated properly, a concussion may have lasting physical, emotional, and cognitive effects. Concussion education is critical for ensuring athletes can play their sport healthier, for longer.
