End User License Agreement
This Agreement (hereby referred to as Agreement) is between the user and Arika Co. Ltd. (hereby referred to as Arika) and details the usage conditions of the computer software (hereby referred to as Game) being supplied by Arika on the Steam platform. By installing the Game, the user agrees to these terms and conditions.
In the case that the user is a minor, please get the permission of a parent or guardian before installing the Game.
1. License Agreement
(1) By agreeing with the terms of the Agreement, Arika will allow the User to install the game on their own computer and use the game freely in the means intended for it.
(2) By entering into the Agreement, the User agrees not to transfer the consent to a third party. The User may also not sublicense the Game to others.
2. Update and Patch Offering
(1) There are times when Arika will change the contents of the game through updates and patches and both free and paid downloadable content.
These updates and patches are covered under the same Agreement.
(2) These updates and patches will be provided voluntarily by Arika when deemed necessary, and are not requirements.
3. Intellectual Property Right
(1) The Game and its copyrights and all additional rights (hereby called Intellectual Property Rights) are entirely owned by Arika and any justifiable Third Party, and are protected by the Japanese Copyright Act and corresponding International Treaties. If the User does not follow the Agreement and infringes on the Game and its Intellectual Property Right, Arika has the right to seek restitution and use any legal right deemed necessary in order to protect the Intellectual Property Right.
(2) This Agreement represents Arika granting permission to the User to play the game, but does not hand over any rights to usage of the Intellectual Property Right.
4. Prohibited Items
When playing this game, the following actions are not allowed.
(1) Taking any part of the Game and reproducing, altering, reverse engineering, extracting the source code, or taking any action that infringes on Arika's Intellectual Property Right.
(2) Removing or altering any of the Game's security settings, or intentionally using an unintended malfunction in the Game itself.
(3) Taking any of the Game's data regarding its transmission protocol in order to analyze or use it outside of the Game.
(4) Taking any part of the Game and loaning, licensing, or uploading to an Internet server or website with the explicit consent on Arika.
(5) Using the Game for commercial use in an Internet Cafe, Game Bar, etc. without prior written consent from Arika.
(6) Any act similar to the ones issued above, that will bring disadvantage or damage to Arika.
5. Disclaimer
(1) Arika does make any guarantee regarding the Game integrity, stability, or compatibility.
(2) Arika does not take any responsibility if a User suffers any damage or loss while using this Game.
(3) Regardless of the situation, Arika can not be held liable for any amount of money greater than the User paid for the Game.
6. Term of Validity
(1) The User may end the Agreement at any time by uninstalling the Game from their own computer.
(2) Arika may end the Agreement at any time if the User violates any of the clauses. In this case, the User must stop usage of the Game and uninstall it from their own computer.
(3) Even if the Agreement is ended, Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 will continue to remain valid.
7. Agreement Alterations
(1) By publishing the details to Steam or in the Game itself, Arika may at any time make changes to the Agreement.
(2) As long as the User uses the Game, Patches, or Updates, they agree to any relevant changes.
8. Others
(1) The creation, validity, fulfillment and interpretation of this Agreement is covered by Japanese Law.
(2) Any disputes in connection the this Agreement will be settled in Tokyo District Court.
(3) If any change in a law or ordinance causes a particular clause in this Agreement become invalid, the other clauses will all continue and remain valid.
