Thanks for checking out Super Hockey Ball, a VR sports game by InnerLoop LLC.

This document outlines what data InnerLoop LLC collects and how that data is used. Use of Super Hockey Ball constitutes acceptance of these terms, which may be amended or changed without notice. Don't worry, they aren't scary or complicated. In short, we only collect a limited amount of data as necessary for gameplay features and to inform further improvements.

Personal data is linked to your user account and may be personally identifying. Each unique user account is created automatically and authenticated via your platform of purchase. We have no access to, nor will we ever ask for, user passwords or platform account information (other than as outlined below).

So, what do we collect? And how do we use it?

Personal Data
+ Per platform User ID or Display Name
We use this to track your individual statistics. Since Super Hockey Ball is cross-platform, leaderboards and stats are maintained separately from each individual storefront (such as Steam).
+ High Scores
This one should be pretty obvious. To show leaderboards we have to track your best scores.
+ Game progress
We note when new levels are unlocked. As an example, this helps us to determine things like, "Level 4 is way too hard, since only 14% of players make it to Level 5." This is also used to trigger achievements.
+ User Settings
Some user settings may be recorded. Examples include "Handedness", "Stick Length", "Locomotion Type", or "Rotation Type". This sort of information tells us which settings are being utilized by our players. This helps us focus on improving the most relevant features to our users. After all, if 95% of users change a default setting... maybe there should be a different default setting.
+ System Information
GPU and CPU information, such as make/model, which is used to guide performance improvements.
+ XR Information
We're keeping track of which headsets our players use, which controllers are connected, etc. This helps focus our development efforts on hardware our players are using.
+ Performance Metrics
Numbers such as "Average Frame Time" are reported alongside the system information. If we notice, for example, that GTX 970 users are consistently not hitting the desired framerate, we should probably adjust default settings and optimize a bit more.

And... that's all. We're pretty basic.

Aggregated and anonymized information may occasionally be published. None of this information will be published in a form that could be personally identifying. No identifying information will be shared with any person or organization. We may, for example, publish a pie chart on Twitter showing what percentage of players are using each HMD.

So, that's pretty much it. That's the whole privacy policy! Go ahead and play. Have fun!

These limitations and exclusions regarding damages apply even if any remedy fails to provide adequate compensation.
Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, the liability of InnerLoop LLC, Epic, Epic’s licensors, its and their affiliates, and any of InnerLoop LLC's or Epic’s service providers shall be limited to the full extent permitted by law.
