END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
Wind & Cannon
Effective Date: September 11, 2026
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("you" or "User") and [DEVELOPER NAME] ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the video game Wind & Cannon, including any updates, patches, downloadable content, and related software provided by the Developer (collectively, the "Game").
By downloading, installing, launching, or using the Game, you agree to the terms of this Agreement.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Game.
1. License
Subject to this Agreement, the Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment.
You are purchasing or receiving a license to use the Game. You are not purchasing ownership of the Game or its underlying software, artwork, audio, code, characters, designs, or other intellectual property.
2. Ownership
The Game and all associated content are owned by the Developer and/or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited license granted under this Agreement, no ownership rights are transferred to you.
3. Restrictions
You may not, except where applicable law specifically permits otherwise:
Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Game without written permission from the Developer.
Copy or distribute the Game except as necessary for normal installation, backup, or use permitted by the platform through which the Game was obtained.
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain the Game's source code except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
Circumvent or interfere with security, copy protection, authentication, or anti-cheat systems used by the Game.
Use the Game or its files to distribute malicious software or interfere with other users, services, or computer systems.
Represent the Game, its assets, or its intellectual property as your own.
4. Mods and User-Created Content
Unless specifically prohibited by the Developer, you may create non-commercial modifications, videos, screenshots, streams, guides, fan art, and similar fan-created content relating to Wind & Cannon.
You do not gain ownership of any original Wind & Cannon intellectual property incorporated into such content.
The Developer reserves the right to restrict modifications that are malicious, infringing, unlawful, misleading, or intended to bypass security or platform systems.
5. Streaming and Videos
You may record, livestream, upload, and monetize gameplay footage of Wind & Cannon through services such as YouTube, Twitch, and similar platforms, provided that your content complies with the applicable platform's rules.
This permission does not grant you ownership of the Game's intellectual property.
6. Updates and Changes
The Developer may provide patches, updates, balance changes, bug fixes, additional content, or other changes to the Game.
Features, gameplay mechanics, compatibility, content, or system requirements may change over time.
The Developer does not guarantee that every version or feature of the Game will remain available indefinitely.
7. Save Data
The Game may create save files, settings files, configuration data, or other locally stored information.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of any locally stored data you wish to preserve.
The Developer is not responsible for lost, corrupted, deleted, incompatible, or overwritten save data except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
8. Third-Party Services
The Game may be distributed or operated through third-party platforms such as Steam.
Your use of those platforms is also subject to their respective agreements, policies, and terms of service.
This Agreement does not replace the Steam Subscriber Agreement or any other applicable agreement between you and Valve Corporation.
9. No Guarantee of Compatibility
The Developer will make reasonable efforts to maintain the Game, but does not guarantee compatibility with every computer, operating system, driver, hardware configuration, controller, software environment, or future platform update.
System requirements may change as the Game is updated.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Game is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
The Developer does not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or free from bugs.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded in your jurisdiction.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Game.
This may include loss of data, loss of profits, hardware or software problems, or interruption of service.
Nothing in this Agreement limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
12. Termination
This Agreement remains effective until terminated.
Your rights under this Agreement automatically terminate if you materially violate its terms.
Upon termination, you must stop using and uninstall any copies of the Game in your possession, except where you retain rights under applicable law or platform policies.
Sections relating to ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and other provisions that logically survive termination will continue to apply.
13. Refunds
Purchases and refunds made through Steam are generally handled according to Steam's applicable refund policies and terms.
Nothing in this Agreement limits any refund or consumer rights provided to you by applicable law.
14. Changes to This Agreement
The Developer may update this Agreement when reasonably necessary to reflect changes to the Game, applicable law, or related services.
If material changes are made, an updated version may be provided with the Game or through its distribution platform.
Your continued use of the Game after an updated Agreement becomes applicable constitutes acceptance of the updated terms where permitted by law.
15. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
16. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the agreement between you and the Developer concerning your license to use the Game, except for additional terms imposed by Steam or other applicable third-party services.
17. Governing Law
This Agreement will be governed by the laws of [STATE/COUNTRY], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the laws of your jurisdiction require otherwise.
Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections available under the laws applicable to you.
