DITY: ORIGINS
© 2026 Merkel Games. All rights reserved.
1. What this is
These are the terms of use for DITY: Origins. By running the game you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not run the game and delete your copy.
2. What you are given
The game is licensed, not sold. You receive a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use one copy of the game for yourself and not for profit. The rights to the game itself — its name, text, images, music, sound and code — remain with Merkel Games.
3. What you may not do
Sell, rent out or hand out copies of the game. Pass it off as your own. Sell parts of it — text, images, music — separately from it. Circumvent the protection of the store the game was bought from.
4. What you may do, and need not ask about
Make videos and live streams from the game, including ones you earn from. Post screenshots, reviews and translations. Write anything you like about it.
5. Your data
The game collects nothing about you and sends nothing anywhere: it has no networking at all. Saves and settings sit as files on your own computer, and nowhere else. If the game is run through a store, whatever that store collects is covered by its terms, not ours.
6. Warranty
The game is provided as is. We do not promise that it will run on every machine or that it is free of errors. In any case the liability of Merkel Games does not exceed the amount you paid for the game.
7. Marks
DITY, DITY: Origins and Merkel Games are trademarks of Merkel Games.
8. Other people's work inside
The engine is Godot Engine 4, MIT licence: © Juan Linietsky, Ariel Manzur and the Godot Engine contributors.
The bridge to the store is GodotSteam, MIT licence: © GP Garcia, Chris Ridenour and contributors. Steamworks SDK binaries, © Valve Corporation, ship along with it.
Typefaces — bitcell (memesbruh03) and Barcade Brawl.
9. Fiction
Ladoga, Belian and Grigovery are entirely invented. Any resemblance to real countries, cities, beliefs, events or people is coincidental.
