VOIPVAULT END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
Effective Date: August 7, 2026
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of VoIPVault
("Software"), published by VoIPVault ("Licensor," "we," or "us").
By installing, accessing, or using the Software, you agree to this Agreement.
If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1. LICENSE
Subject to this Agreement and your valid acquisition of the Software through
Steam, Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable,
revocable license to install and use the Software for personal or commercial
audio-production purposes.
Your use of Steam and your acquisition of the Software are also subject to the
Steam Subscriber Agreement.
2. OWNERSHIP
The Software is licensed, not sold. Licensor retains all rights, title, and
interest in the Software, its design, branding, code, and documentation.
This Agreement does not grant ownership of VoIPVault or its intellectual
property.
3. RECORDINGS AND USER CONTENT
You retain any rights you legally hold in recordings, clips, soundboard
content, filenames, and other material you create or import using VoIPVault.
Licensor claims no ownership of your recordings.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right,
permission, and consent required to record, edit, store, or play audio.
You may not use VoIPVault to violate privacy, wiretapping, copyright,
intellectual-property, harassment, or other applicable laws. Recording laws
vary by location, and you are responsible for understanding the laws that
apply to you and the people you record.
4. LOCAL FILES AND BACKUPS
VoIPVault stores recordings, settings, editable-track information, and related
data locally on your computer. You are responsible for choosing appropriate
storage locations and maintaining backups.
Licensor is not responsible for recordings or settings lost because of file
deletion, hardware failure, operating-system changes, third-party software,
malware, storage failure, user error, or circumstances outside our reasonable
control.
Information about local data handling is available in the VoIPVault Privacy
Policy:

5. ACCEPTABLE USE
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially distribute copies of
the Software except where expressly authorized.
- Circumvent Steam ownership checks or other access-control measures.
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except where such
restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
- Use the Software for unlawful surveillance, infringement, harassment, or
other illegal activity.
6. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE AND INTEGRATIONS
VoIPVault may use or interact with third-party software, libraries, hardware,
drivers, audio devices, virtual mixers, and services. These may include Steam,
Windows audio components, Elgato Stream Deck, Wave Link, and other audio-routing
software.
Third-party products are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Licensor does not control and cannot guarantee continued compatibility with
third-party products.
Open-source components included with VoIPVault remain governed by their
respective licenses and notices.
7. UPDATES AND CHANGES
Licensor may provide updates, fixes, compatibility changes, or feature
revisions through Steam. Updates may modify or discontinue features when
reasonably necessary for security, compatibility, maintenance, or continued
development.
We do not guarantee compatibility with every audio device, driver, Windows
configuration, application, or third-party update.
8. PURCHASES AND REFUNDS
Purchases, billing, license ownership, downloads, and refunds made through
Steam are handled under Steam's applicable terms and refund policies.
9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND
"AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT,
UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION, OR ERROR-FREE PERFORMANCE.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot
legally be excluded in your jurisdiction.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LICENSOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR
INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING
LOSS OF RECORDINGS, DATA, PROFITS, BUSINESS, OR OPPORTUNITY ARISING FROM YOUR
USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.
LICENSOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT
YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
11. TERMINATION
This Agreement remains effective until terminated. Your license terminates if
you materially violate this Agreement.
Upon termination, you must stop using and uninstall the Software. Termination
does not transfer ownership of your locally created recordings to Licensor.
12. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, excluding its
conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer laws of your place
of residence apply.
13. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining
provisions will remain in effect. The unenforceable provision will be limited
or modified only as necessary to make it enforceable.
14. CHANGES TO THIS AGREEMENT
We may update this Agreement when the Software, applicable law, or distribution
requirements change. Material updates will be presented through Steam or
another reasonable method before they apply.
