## Real-World References, Simulation and Online Content Notice

RailOps: Subdivisions is an independently developed railroad simulation game intended solely for entertainment. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, licensed by, or associated with any railroad, railway, transportation company, equipment manufacturer, industrial company, shipper, receiver, government agency, or other real-world organization depicted, named, referenced, or simulated within the game unless expressly stated otherwise.

### Real-World Companies and Industries

Real-world railroad, company, industry, facility, terminal, station, community, and geographic names may be used to identify or approximate real-world locations and transportation networks.

The presence of a company or facility in RailOps does not indicate participation in, approval of, or endorsement of the game by that organization.

Industrial processes, commodities, production rates, consumption rates, storage capacities, shipments, rail traffic, schedules, financial information, customers, suppliers, equipment requirements, and other operational information may be estimated, simplified, fictionalized, procedurally generated, or altered for gameplay purposes.

Such information should not be interpreted as representing the actual operations, commercial relationships, production activity, financial condition, safety practices, environmental practices, or business activities of any real-world company.

### Railroads, Routes and Rights-of-Way

Railroad routes represented in RailOps may be inspired by or geographically aligned with existing or historical railroad rights-of-way.

Routes, subdivisions, yards, branches, sidings, interchanges, stations, industries, junctions, and other railroad infrastructure may be compressed, extended, truncated, relocated, combined, simplified, or otherwise modified to improve gameplay.

A simulated subdivision may incorporate portions of routes historically or presently operated by different railroads, and simulated trackage rights, interchange arrangements, ownership, dispatching boundaries, or operating territories may differ substantially from real-world arrangements.

Distances, grades, curves, track layouts, signals, speed limits, mileposts, operating rules, track ownership, traffic levels, schedules, and other railroad characteristics may likewise be altered or fictionalized.

RailOps should not be used as a source of current railroad ownership, operating authority, routing, timetable, dispatching, access, or infrastructure information.

### Locomotives, Railcars and Railroad Equipment

RailOps may include locomotives, railcars, equipment types, model designations, classifications, reporting marks, railroad names, manufacturers, or equipment configurations based upon or resembling equipment used in the real world.

Equipment appearance, dimensions, capacities, weights, performance, braking characteristics, mechanical behavior, pricing, maintenance requirements, fuel consumption, loading restrictions, operating characteristics, and other specifications may be approximated or modified for gameplay.

Reference to a manufacturer, railroad, equipment model, classification, or reporting mark does not indicate sponsorship, licensing, approval, or endorsement by the referenced company or organization unless expressly stated otherwise.

Any trademarks, trade names, company names, product designations, railroad names, reporting marks, or other identifying marks remain the property of their respective owners.

### Simulation Accuracy

RailOps is a game and not a professional railroad, engineering, logistics, industrial, economic, or transportation planning tool.

Train handling, braking distances, signal systems, dispatching, hazardous-material handling, switching procedures, operating rules, locomotive performance, track construction, industrial processes, commodity properties, and other simulated systems have been simplified or modified for entertainment and gameplay.

Information presented in RailOps should not be relied upon for real-world railroad operations, engineering, transportation, industrial processes, hazardous-material handling, financial decisions, or safety decisions.

Real railroad property may be dangerous and privately owned. The appearance of a railroad, industry, right-of-way, crossing, abandoned route, or other location within RailOps does not indicate that the corresponding real-world location is publicly accessible, abandoned, inactive, or safe to enter.

### User-Created Railroad Names and Reporting Marks

Online players may be permitted to create company names, railroad names, locomotive numbers, railcar numbers, reporting marks, train names, or other identifiers.

Such names and identifiers are created by individual users and do not represent statements, affiliations, endorsements, or claims of ownership by the developers or operators of RailOps.

User-created names or reporting marks may coincidentally or intentionally resemble real-world companies, railroads, organizations, or trademarks. Their presence does not establish any relationship between those organizations and RailOps or between those organizations and the user who created them.

Users are responsible for the content they create and may not use the service to impersonate another person or organization, falsely claim affiliation or endorsement, infringe intellectual-property rights, or create unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or otherwise prohibited content.

RailOps reserves the right to rename, restrict, hide, or remove user-created content and to suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce game rules, protect users, respond to legal complaints, or protect third-party rights.

### Multiplayer Communications

RailOps may provide player-to-player communication features, including in-game mail, messages, company communications, or other multiplayer communication systems.

Messages and other communications are created by users and do not represent the views or statements of RailOps or its developers.

Users should not use these systems to transmit passwords, financial information, highly sensitive personal information, or other information they would not want disclosed to another person.

Where permitted by the applicable Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, communications may be stored and may be reviewed when reported or when reasonably necessary for moderation, abuse prevention, security, technical support, enforcement of game rules, or compliance with legal obligations.

Users may be provided with tools to report, block, or otherwise restrict communications from other players.

Harassment, threats, fraud, impersonation, unlawful content, unsolicited advertising, attempts to obtain another user's credentials, and other prohibited communications may result in restrictions or account action.

### Third-Party Rights

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, company names, railroad names, manufacturer names, product names, equipment designations, reporting marks, logos, and other protected identifiers belong to their respective owners.

Their use for identification, geographic reference, historical reference, or simulation does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, licensing, or affiliation.

Where fictional names, companies, routes, reporting marks, equipment numbers, operations, or events appear within RailOps, any resemblance to real persons or entities may be coincidental unless specifically identified as a real-world reference.

### Changes to the Simulated World

Railroads, industries, companies, routes, ownership, infrastructure, and operations change over time. RailOps does not guarantee that its representation of any real-world location reflects current or historical conditions at any particular date.

The game world may intentionally preserve historical features, introduce fictional infrastructure, combine features from different eras, or modify real-world locations where doing so creates a more enjoyable simulation.
