END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT - IMMRAMA: VOYAGES OF THE OTHERWORLDS
Version 4. Effective 2026-08-27.This is an interim version. IMMRAMA is in active development, and these terms are reviewed and revised as the Game and its AI systems change. When a material change is made, the version number above changes and you will be asked to review and accept the new version before continuing to play on the hosted service (Section 23). The current version is always at https://game.techduinnin.com/legal/eula/. If anything here is unclear, write to us at the contact in Section 24.6 and we will explain it in plain language.
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("Player," "you," or "your") and Tech Duinnin LLC ("Tech Duinnin," "we," "us," or "our") concerning IMMRAMA: Voyages of the Otherworlds (the "Game").
The Game includes the software client, local-server components, hosted services, websites used to operate the Game (including the web client at game.techduinnin.com), world-generation and narrative systems, game content, downloadable components, and related updates and documentation that Tech Duinnin makes available under the Game name.
The Game may be distributed and played on multiple platforms, including, as available: Windows; Linux and SteamOS (including Steam Deck); macOS; Android; iOS and iPadOS; and the browser-based web client, whether obtained through Steam, the Apple App Store, Google Play, itch.io, direct download, or the web. This one Agreement governs all of them, except where a platform-specific provision in Section 20 applies to your channel.
By clicking an acceptance control, installing, launching, accessing, or using the Game, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install, access, or use the Game.
1. Related Policies and Order of Precedence
The following documents apply to your use of the Game (together, the "Related Policies"):- Privacy Policy (https://game.techduinnin.com/legal/privacy/) - describes the information Tech Duinnin collects, uses, stores, shares, retains, and deletes.
- Acceptable Use Policy (https://game.techduinnin.com/legal/acceptable-use/) - governs content and activity that is shared with, submitted to, or made available to other players.
- AI Disclosure (https://game.techduinnin.com/legal/ai-disclosure/) - explains, in plain language, how the Game's AI features work, which execution tiers exist, and the safety mechanisms used with them.
If an applicable law cannot be overridden by this Agreement, that law prevails to the extent of the conflict.
2. Eligibility and Age Restrictions
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Game, unless a higher minimum age is required by the laws or rules applicable where you live, by the platform through which you obtain the Game, or by the terms of an AI provider you choose to connect.The Game is a general-audience product. It is not directed to children under 13, and Tech Duinnin does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or submitted personal information, contact us using the details in Section 24.6 so we can delete the information as required by law.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and accept this Agreement where required by applicable law, and that person is responsible for your use of the Game to the extent required by law.
Certain Game content, features, execution tiers, or distribution channels may have a higher age rating or additional age restrictions. Those restrictions apply in addition to this Agreement. A BYOK provider's own minimum age applies to that provider's service.
3. License to Use the Game
The Game is licensed, not sold.Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Tech Duinnin grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to:
- install and use the Game on devices you own or control, solely for your personal entertainment; and
- access the hosted portions of the Game that Tech Duinnin makes available to you.
This license does not transfer ownership of the Game, its source code, its proprietary assets, or the IMMRAMA World IP defined in Section 6.
Where you obtained the Game through a storefront, your use is also subject to that storefront's applicable terms and usage rules. See Section 20.
3.1 Purchases, Subscriptions, and Virtual Items
The Game or a storefront may offer a paid download, downloadable content, a subscription, usage-based access to a managed AI tier, or in-game items, currencies, or entitlements ("Virtual Items"). Virtual Items are licensed, not owned. Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, they have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be modified or withdrawn as described in Section 15.
Payments, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and billing disputes for a storefront purchase are governed by that storefront's terms. Payments made directly to Tech Duinnin, if any, are governed by the checkout terms presented at purchase and by mandatory consumer law.
4. AI Features and Execution Tiers
The Game uses algorithmic systems and, in some configurations, large language models ("LLMs") to generate or transform narrative text, dialogue, descriptions, and other game content in response to gameplay.AI-generated content is a core feature of some Game configurations. The exact content produced may vary between sessions, players, devices, models, providers, and updates.
Depending on the build, platform, and configuration, the Game may operate using one or more of the following execution tiers:
- Deterministic / Offline Mode: The Game provides a deterministic mode that does not call an external AI model and instead relies on authored content, rules, retrieval, and other deterministic systems.
- Local Inference: The Game may download or use an open-weight or otherwise locally operated AI model that runs on your device or on a local service that you control. Local models are third-party open-weight models, obtained through Tech Duinnin's content mirrors or from the model's original publisher, and may include speech-recognition or speech-synthesis models where the build supports voice features; the AI Disclosure identifies the model families currently in use. In this configuration, model execution occurs locally without sending the applicable prompt or generation request to Tech Duinnin's hosted AI relay.
- Bring-Your-Own-Key ("BYOK"): The Game may permit you to connect an account or API key you control for a third-party AI provider, choosing from built-in provider presets or a custom endpoint you specify, including a server you host yourself; the AI Disclosure and Privacy Policy identify the current presets. Depending on the build, requests may be sent directly from your device to that provider or may pass through a Tech Duinnin service solely to facilitate the configured integration.
- Managed Relay: The Game may provide a managed tier in which Tech Duinnin's service relays requests to third-party AI providers under agreements held by Tech Duinnin; the Privacy Policy and AI Disclosure identify the providers currently in use and what each receives. Tech Duinnin does not own or operate the underlying foundation models or the physical infrastructure on which third-party model providers run those models. For purposes of applicable AI-transparency laws, Tech Duinnin is generally a deployer of those third-party models when operating the managed relay, and you may be a deployer of a model you run locally or connect through BYOK.
4.1 Availability and Changes
Specific models, providers, execution tiers, features, limits, and regions may vary by platform and may change over time. A feature being available today does not create a promise that it will remain available indefinitely.
Local models can require substantial storage, memory, or specific hardware; minimum requirements vary by platform and model and may change. Some tiers, models, providers, or features may be unavailable, restricted, or modified in some countries or regions (see Section 21).
5. AI-Generated Content
5.1 AI-Generated Content Is Not GuaranteedAI-generated content may contain errors, contradictions, inaccuracies, offensive material, fictional assertions, anachronisms, or other material that is unexpected or unsuitable for a particular player.
Tech Duinnin does not pre-review or individually approve each AI-generated response before it is shown to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI-generated content is provided "AS IS" and without a warranty that it will be accurate, complete, reliable, appropriate, unique, non-offensive, or consistent with other Game content. Automated safety systems may reduce some risks; they do not eliminate them.
5.2 AI Output Is Not a Statement by Tech Duinnin
AI-generated content is produced algorithmically. Its appearance in the Game does not mean that Tech Duinnin, its employees, contractors, licensors, or AI providers authored, selected, endorsed, or adopted the content as a factual statement or personal viewpoint.
References generated by an AI system to real people, entities, organizations, or events may be fictional, inaccurate, or incidental. You should not treat AI-generated content as verified information or professional advice.
5.3 Output May Not Be Unique
Because the Game uses shared authored passages, retrieval systems, and bounded generation techniques, substantially similar or identical output may be generated for multiple players or sessions.
Tech Duinnin does not promise that any generated passage, character dialogue, description, story element, or other output will be unique to you.
5.4 Transparency of AI Interaction
The Game uses AI systems to generate or transform narrative content. Additional plain-language disclosure is provided in the AI Disclosure and, where a storefront requires it, on the applicable store page. In-Game labeling or settings may also identify when a response is machine-generated. Those notices are product disclosures, not a warranty about any particular output.
5.5 Entertainment Only. Not Advice, and Not a Support Service
The Game is a work of fiction offered for entertainment. Nothing generated by the Game, and nothing in its text, is medical, psychological, legal, financial, safety, or other professional advice, and it must not be relied on as any of those things. Statements a character or narrator makes about the real world may be wrong.
The Game is not a crisis, counseling, or emergency service, and no one monitors your play in order to notice that you may need help (Section 12). If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country right away. In the United States and Canada you can call or text 988. Do not use the Game to seek help in an emergency.
If the Game's content becomes distressing to you, you can stop at any time, and the deterministic mode described in Section 4 plays without any AI model.
6. Ownership and Intellectual Property
6.1 IMMRAMA World IPTech Duinnin and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Game and all proprietary material created or commissioned for it, including, as applicable:
- the Game's software, code, architecture, and systems, excluding the Third-Party Components described in Section 14;
- the setting, lore, worldbuilding, characters, factions, quests, maps, and authored narrative structures;
- artwork, including the Game's watercolor art and related visual assets;
- music, audio, sound effects, and recordings;
- system prompts, internal instructions, proprietary retrieval data, safety logic, and configuration;
- trademarks, logos, trade dress, and branding; and
- other content and intellectual property that Tech Duinnin creates or commissions for IMMRAMA
Public-domain folklore, history, or mythology that inspired the setting is not owned by Tech Duinnin. Tech Duinnin's original expression, selection, arrangement, and additions are IMMRAMA World IP.
No ownership of the IMMRAMA World IP is transferred to you by this Agreement.
6.2 Your Gameplay Output
"Gameplay Output" means the specific narrative text, dialogue, descriptions, and similar session-level material generated for your individual playthrough in response to your inputs.
To the extent applicable law recognizes ownership or other transferable rights in Gameplay Output, and subject to the rights of third parties and the limitations in this Section 6, as between you and Tech Duinnin, you own the rights that legally vest in you in that Gameplay Output.
That allocation does not transfer ownership of any pre-authored passage, retrieval result, system instruction, or other IMMRAMA World IP that was included, edited, or adapted to produce the output. You own the rights, if any, that vest in your contribution and in the session-specific expression that the law treats as yours; Tech Duinnin retains the IMMRAMA World IP.
Tech Duinnin does not claim ownership of those rights merely because the output was generated through the Game.
However:
- purely AI-generated material may not qualify for copyright or equivalent protection in some jurisdictions, and this Agreement cannot create a statutory copyright where the law recognizes none;
- third-party rights may exist in material incorporated into or affecting an output;
- the Game may generate or reuse material that is substantially similar for other players;
- Gameplay Output may embed, quote, or depend on IMMRAMA World IP, which you do not own; and
- nothing in this Agreement gives you ownership of the underlying model, training materials, IMMRAMA World IP, or third-party content.
You may not, without Tech Duinnin's prior written permission:
- sell, license, or commercially publish a standalone work that is primarily a reproduction of IMMRAMA World IP (including a novelization, setting bible, art book, or competing game) merely because that material appeared in your Gameplay Output;
- use distinctive IMMRAMA characters, faction names, logos, watercolor art, music, or other World IP on merchandise; or
- remove or obscure Tech Duinnin trademarks from Game assets you are not otherwise permitted to use.
Except with Tech Duinnin's prior written permission, you may not systematically extract, scrape, compile, bulk-download, or otherwise collect the IMMRAMA World IP, system prompts, internal instructions, or AI-generated material substantially derived from the IMMRAMA World IP for the purpose of training, fine-tuning, benchmarking, evaluating, or building a dataset for a machine-learning or generative-AI model, and you may not distribute a model or dataset created by those means.
This restriction does not prohibit:
- ordinary personal gameplay;
- keeping personal copies of gameplay content that you are otherwise permitted to retain;
- making and sharing ordinary gameplay recordings, screenshots, or excerpts under Section 7; or
- training a model solely for your own personal, non-commercial, non-distributed use on Gameplay Output that you own, provided you do not use that activity to extract, reconstruct, or publish protected IMMRAMA World IP, proprietary system instructions, retrieval data, or safety logic.
Tech Duinnin does not use the narrative content of your private gameplay to train general-purpose AI models.
To "train a general-purpose AI model" means to use Player Material to improve a model intended for use outside the Game or for tasks other than operating IMMRAMA. This commitment does not prohibit using operational signals (for example, crash reports, latency, token counts, or safety-classifier scores), and content you explicitly share with other players is addressed in Section 8.
This statement does not prohibit the technical processing necessary to operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, meter, or provide the Game, nor does it prevent Tech Duinnin from using aggregated or de-identified operational information where permitted by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
7. Streaming, Recording, and Sharing Gameplay
Tech Duinnin grants you a non-exclusive, revocable permission to record, stream, publish, display, and share your own gameplay, including gameplay videos, screenshots, narrative excerpts, written accounts, and gameplay logs, including where the relevant platform monetizes that material through advertising, subscriptions, donations, sponsorships, or similar programs.This permission includes the display of IMMRAMA World IP as it appears incidentally or integrally within your genuine gameplay content.
You may not use this permission to:
- sell or redistribute the Game itself;
- distribute extracted game assets, art, audio, text, prompts, or other proprietary materials outside genuine gameplay content;
- create a competing game or service primarily from extracted IMMRAMA World IP;
- manufacture merchandise whose primary appeal is IMMRAMA World IP; or
- falsely suggest that Tech Duinnin sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with you or your channel.
You are responsible for obtaining any rights needed for third-party material that you add to or combine with your publication, including music, graphics, commentary, or other material that you do not own.
Third-party audio and fonts are a limit on this permission. Some music, sound, and typeface assets in the Game are licensed to Tech Duinnin by third parties. This Section grants what Tech Duinnin is able to grant, and it does not purport to license third-party assets beyond what their own licenses allow. A platform's automated rights system may still claim, mute, or demonetize a video that contains embedded Game audio, and Tech Duinnin cannot override that. If you rely on monetized video, consider muting or replacing in-game music, and write to us at the contact in Section 24.6 if you need to know the current status of a particular track.
8. Your Content
You may submit or create content through the Game, including prompts, text, character names, world descriptions, custom worlds, images, audio, and other materials ("User Content"). Gameplay Output is addressed in Section 6.2. User Content and Gameplay Output together are "Player Material."You retain whatever rights you have in User Content, subject to third-party rights and applicable law.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit your User Content and that your submission and authorized use of it under this Agreement will not knowingly violate applicable law or third-party rights.
You grant Tech Duinnin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, process, adapt as technically necessary, and display your User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and provide the Game and the features you request, including:
- storing and retrieving your content;
- transmitting prompts and related information to the AI provider used by your selected execution tier;
- generating game responses;
- maintaining backups and security systems;
- diagnosing technical failures and abuse; and
- displaying content that you explicitly choose to share with other players.
For content you explicitly publish or share with other players, the license additionally permits Tech Duinnin to review, moderate, reproduce, distribute, and publicly display that shared content as reasonably necessary to operate the applicable community or sharing feature and enforce the Acceptable Use Policy.
Except where continued retention is necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, backups, dispute resolution, or continued availability of a shared-world feature used by other players, the license concerning your private User Content ends when the content is deleted or your account is deleted, subject to the retention practices disclosed in the Privacy Policy.
Tech Duinnin does not receive an ownership interest in your User Content merely because you submit it.
If you share a world or other User Content with other players, you should not expect that content to remain exclusively yours in practice. Other players may generate further material inside that shared world, and Tech Duinnin may retain what is needed to keep that shared feature working for them.
8.1 Feedback
If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the Game, you grant Tech Duinnin a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose. You are not entitled to compensation unless we agree otherwise in writing.
8.2 Shared-Content Complaints
Complaints about shared or publicly posted content, including alleged copyright infringement, should be sent using the contact details in Section 24.6. Tell us what the material is, where it appears, and why you are reporting it, and we will look into it promptly.
9. Prohibited Uses and Prohibited AI Requests
You agree not to use the Game, its input interfaces, prompt fields, or connected AI integrations to intentionally elicit, generate, upload, or distribute content in any of the following categories:- Exploitation or sexualization of minors - any content that sexualizes, exploits, or depicts minors in a sexual context, in any form.
- Real-person impersonation or defamation - content that impersonates a real, identifiable living person, or that is defamatory toward one, or discloses private personal information without authorization.
- Protected-group hate or harassment - content that promotes hatred, harassment, violence, or discrimination against people on the basis of a protected characteristic (such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability).
- Self-harm instruction - content that instructs, encourages, or provides actionable means for self-harm or suicide.
- Explicit sexual content - sexually explicit material of any kind; such material is not offered as a supported gameplay feature.
These restrictions apply to your conduct and requests. They do not mean that Tech Duinnin attributes every generated output to you or treats an AI-generated response itself as proof of wrongdoing.
The Game may technically block, redirect, transform, or decline a request or output that triggers its automated, deterministic and model-based safety checks. Those systems can fail or over-block. Their existence is not a warranty that prohibited or offensive material will never appear.
Nothing in this Section requires Tech Duinnin to monitor or manually review private single-player gameplay on an ongoing basis. The privacy and enforcement model for private play is described in Section 12.
10. BYOK and Local AI
If you connect your own AI-provider account, API key, local model, or local inference service:- the applicable AI provider's terms, acceptable-use rules, privacy policy, age limits, and pricing govern your relationship with that provider;
- you are responsible for charges incurred through your provider account;
- you are responsible for complying with laws and contractual restrictions that apply to your chosen provider or model;
- Tech Duinnin does not control the provider's availability, moderation, pricing, model behavior, or output;
- Tech Duinnin does not guarantee that a provider or local model will remain compatible with the Game;
- content that is blocked on the managed tier may not be blocked in a local or BYOK configuration; and
- local or BYOK operation may not provide the same safety, availability, diagnostics, or feature set as the managed tier.
You are responsible for safeguarding any API key you choose to configure and for notifying the provider if your key is compromised.
On installed builds, BYOK requests may travel directly from software running on your device to your provider. On the hosted web service, your key may be stored by Tech Duinnin on your account and requests may pass through Tech Duinnin's servers. Tech Duinnin does not warrant that any stored key is immune from unauthorized access; current key-handling practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Managed Relay and Service-Abuse Enforcement
The managed tier may enforce ordinary usage limits, including rate, concurrency, token, storage, or other technical limits.Tech Duinnin may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate your access to the managed relay when reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users, including where an account:
- floods or overloads the relay;
- uses the relay as a general-purpose third-party AI gateway outside the Game;
- attempts to defeat authentication, metering, rate limits, or other service controls;
- repeatedly and deliberately attempts to circumvent the Game's automated safety mechanisms; or
- engages in other conduct that materially threatens the security or availability of the managed service.
12. Private Single-Player Gameplay and Human Review
IMMRAMA is designed primarily as a single-player experience.Tech Duinnin does not ordinarily assign human moderators to read, review, or monitor the private narrative content generated during your individual single-player gameplay. Tech Duinnin does not maintain a routine human moderation queue for private stories as part of ordinary operation.
Automated, deterministic and model-based safety checks process your prompts, inputs, and generated content to apply the restrictions described in Section 9.
This commitment concerns human review as an ordinary practice. It does not mean that your gameplay data never reaches Tech Duinnin's infrastructure. Depending on the execution tier, data may be stored or processed by Tech Duinnin, transmitted to third-party AI providers, or processed by local software, as described in the Privacy Policy. In a fully local or deterministic configuration on an installed build, generation itself never reaches Tech Duinnin's hosted AI relay at all.
If you explicitly publish, upload, or share a world or other content with other players, that content is no longer private single-player content for purposes of this Section and may be subject to human review, reporting, removal, and community moderation under the Acceptable Use Policy.
Tech Duinnin may also access data in narrowly defined circumstances where necessary to:
- respond to a technical support request that you initiate;
- investigate a security incident or abuse of the managed service;
- comply with a valid legal obligation or lawful process; or
- protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Tech Duinnin, its users, or third parties,
13. Reverse Engineering, Scraping, Circumvention, and Modification
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, you may not:- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from proprietary portions of the Game;
- systematically extract or reconstruct system prompts, proprietary retrieval data, safety logic, internal configuration, or other non-public technical information;
- use automated agents, scripts, or bots to systematically probe, enumerate, scrape, or reconstruct the Game's proprietary internal behavior;
- circumvent authentication, licensing, rate limiting, metering, access controls, or other technical protections;
- create or distribute tools whose principal purpose is to circumvent those protections; or
- modify the Game client to disable safety mechanisms on the managed relay or to attack Tech Duinnin systems.
This Section does not restrict third-party software or AI models to the extent their licenses expressly permit activities that this Agreement would otherwise prohibit.
Private, offline aesthetic mods that do not extract World IP for redistribution, disable managed-tier safety systems, or infringe third-party rights are not the intended target of this Section. Public distribution of mods that package IMMRAMA World IP still requires permission.
14. Third-Party Software, Models, and Services
The Game includes, downloads, or interacts with third-party software, open-source components, open-weight AI models, operating-system services, and third-party AI providers ("Third-Party Components").Your use of Third-Party Components is subject to their applicable licenses and terms.
Where the terms of a Third-Party Component grant you rights that this Agreement would otherwise restrict (such as open-source code licenses or open-model weights under licenses like Apache 2.0), those rights remain available to you with respect to that component.
Tech Duinnin does not represent that every third-party provider or model will have identical capabilities, policies, output characteristics, or geographic availability.
Third-party notices and license texts are provided with the Game where the relevant licenses require it, and are available on request from the contact in Section 24.6.
15. Updates, Compatibility, and Hosted Services
The Game is under active development. Tech Duinnin may patch, update, replace, or modify the Game, including:- adding, changing, or removing content or features;
- changing AI models or providers;
- changing local model requirements;
- changing safety mechanisms;
- changing usage limits;
- modifying hosted services or endpoints; and
- correcting bugs or security issues.
Tech Duinnin may suspend or discontinue hosted services, including the managed relay or hosted web service. Where practicable and where a discontinuation is material, Tech Duinnin will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice.
The deterministic and local configurations are intended, but not guaranteed, to remain usable without Tech Duinnin's hosted services. A change to hosted-service terms does not, by itself, terminate the license to a lawful local or offline copy already in your possession.
16. Account, Suspension, and Termination
Some Game features may require an account.You are responsible for maintaining reasonable security over your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account, except to the extent caused by Tech Duinnin's own failure to apply reasonable security measures.
You may stop using the Game at any time. Account-deletion mechanics and residual retention are described in the Privacy Policy. Local save files remaining on your device are your responsibility to delete.
Tech Duinnin may suspend or terminate your account or license where reasonably necessary because you materially breach this Agreement, including the Acceptable Use Policy, and, where the breach is capable of cure, you fail to cure it after reasonable notice.
Tech Duinnin may act without advance notice where necessary to address an immediate security threat, fraud, unlawful conduct, or substantial risk to the Game or other users.
Tech Duinnin will not terminate your license solely because an AI model produced prohibited or objectionable material during your private play where you did not intentionally engage in prohibited conduct.
A suspension limited to the managed relay is governed by Section 11.
Upon termination, the license in Section 3 ends and you must stop using the Game to the extent the applicable license has terminated. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply, including Sections 5 through 9, 13, 14, 17 through 19, and 21 through 24, as applicable.
Termination does not retroactively eliminate ownership rights that otherwise vested in your User Content or lawful Gameplay Output, and it does not revoke the fallback license in Section 6.2 except as to future use of IMMRAMA World IP after a termination for material breach.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE GAME AND RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TECH DUINNIN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:
- THE GAME OR ANY SERVICE WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES;
- THE GAME WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED;
- AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, SAFE, COMPLETE, NON-OFFENSIVE, CONSISTENT, OR UNIQUE;
- A PARTICULAR AI PROVIDER, MODEL, EXECUTION TIER, OR FEATURE WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE;
- LOCAL OR BYOK INTEGRATIONS WILL REMAIN COMPATIBLE; OR
- THE GAME WILL MEET YOUR PARTICULAR EXPECTATIONS.
18. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TECH DUINNIN AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, GOODWILL, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE GAME OR THIS AGREEMENT.TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TECH DUINNIN'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE GAME OR THIS AGREEMENT WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- the amount you actually paid to Tech Duinnin for the Game or related services during the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
- fifty U.S. dollars (US $50.00).
Nothing in this Section limits remedies or rights that applicable consumer-protection law requires Tech Duinnin to provide.
19. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tech Duinnin and its officers, members, employees, and contractors from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable legal expenses to the extent arising from:- User Content you submit or share that you did not have the right to submit;
- your intentional unlawful conduct;
- your publication or distribution of Game content or Gameplay Output outside the permissions granted by this Agreement; or
- your material breach of this Agreement.
Where applicable law restricts indemnification obligations imposed on consumers, this Section applies only to the extent enforceable under that law.
20. Storefront and Platform Terms
Your copy of the Game may be distributed through Steam, Apple platforms, Google Play, direct download, web distribution, or other channels.Your relationship with the applicable storefront is governed by that storefront's own agreement, terms, refund rules, payment rules, and usage rules. This Agreement governs the relationship between you and Tech Duinnin concerning the Game except where a storefront's mandatory terms control.
20.1 Apple-Platform Version
For a version of the Game distributed as a Licensed Application through Apple's App Store:
- this Agreement is concluded between you and Tech Duinnin only, not Apple, and Tech Duinnin, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and its content;
- this Agreement does not provide usage rules that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions;
- the license for the Apple version is a non-transferable license to use the Licensed Application on Apple-branded Products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the Licensed Application may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with the purchaser via Family Sharing or volume purchasing;
- Tech Duinnin is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the Licensed Application as specified in this Agreement or as required by law. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the Licensed Application;
- Tech Duinnin is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Licensed Application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Licensed Application, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are Tech Duinnin's sole responsibility;
- Tech Duinnin, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim by you or any third party relating to the Licensed Application or your possession and use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the Licensed Application fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar legislation. This Agreement does not limit Tech Duinnin's liability to you beyond what applicable law permits;
- if a third party claims that the Licensed Application, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Tech Duinnin, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim;
- you must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the Licensed Application; and
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
20.2 Steam, Steam Deck, and Valve Platforms
For copies obtained through Steam (including on Windows, Linux, SteamOS, and Steam Deck, and on macOS where offered), your use of Steam is governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement, and refunds are handled under Valve's refund policy. Valve is not a party to this Agreement. The Game's use of live-generated AI content is disclosed on the store page as Valve requires and is described in the AI Disclosure.
20.3 Google Play (Android)
For copies obtained through Google Play, your use of Google Play is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service, and refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies. Google is not a party to this Agreement. The Play listing's data-safety and content declarations are drawn from the Privacy Policy and the AI Disclosure.
20.4 Other Channels
For itch.io, direct download (including the Windows installer), the browser-based web client, and any other channel, this Agreement applies together with any mandatory terms of that channel. Where a platform requires channel-specific language or a different license structure, Tech Duinnin may provide a platform-specific version of this Agreement.
21. Export Controls, Sanctions, and Regional Availability
You represent that, to the extent required by applicable law, you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and you are not a person or entity listed on a U.S. government prohibited- or restricted-party list that would prohibit your use of the Game.You agree to comply with applicable export-control and sanctions laws in your use of the Game, including when you connect a third-party AI provider through BYOK.
The Game, individual execution tiers, and individual AI providers may be unavailable, restricted, or modified in some countries or regions, and Tech Duinnin may decline to offer hosted services where sanctions, local law, or platform rules do not permit them. Some third-party AI providers that you may choose to connect through BYOK are operated from other jurisdictions, including, for example, providers based in the People's Republic of China; content you send to such a provider is processed under that provider's terms and the laws of the jurisdictions where it operates. Choosing a provider, model, or region is your decision, and the Privacy Policy describes who receives data on each tier.
22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules, except that if you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory protections of the law of the place where you habitually reside.Disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Game may be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and that venue is non-exclusive. Nothing in this Agreement prevents either party from using small-claims court where its rules allow. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Australia, you retain any right you have to bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction.
This Agreement contains no arbitration requirement and no class-action waiver.
23. Changes to this Agreement
Tech Duinnin may update this Agreement from time to time.Material changes will be identified by a new version number and, where the Game supports account-based acceptance, Tech Duinnin will require renewed acceptance before continued use of the affected hosted services where reasonably practicable.
Changes do not retroactively alter rights that arose under a prior version unless required by law or expressly agreed by you.
A change to hosted-service terms does not, by itself, cut off the license to use a lawful offline or local configuration already in your possession.
The version accepted by you may be recorded on your account. The current version will be made available at https://game.techduinnin.com/legal/eula/.
24. General Provisions
24.1 SeverabilityIf any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
24.2 No Waiver
No failure or delay by Tech Duinnin in exercising any right, power, or privilege under this Agreement will operate as a waiver of that right, power, or privilege.
24.3 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer this Agreement or your license without Tech Duinnin's prior written consent, except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so. Tech Duinnin may assign this Agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, financing, or sale of substantially all relevant assets, subject to applicable law and with notice to you.
24.4 Entire Agreement
This Agreement, together with the Related Policies to the extent incorporated under Section 1, constitutes the complete and exclusive understanding between you and Tech Duinnin regarding the Game, superseding all prior oral or written agreements.
24.5 Language

APPENDIX A - ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
Incorporated into this Agreement by Section 1.IMMRAMA: Voyages of the Otherworlds - Tech Duinnin LLC
This is an interim version, last updated 2026-08-27. This policy is part
of the End User License Agreement (see EULA Section 1) and is revised as the
game's sharing features develop. World sharing is currently limited to
invited testers.
1. What this covers
This policy applies to everything you create, upload, or share through IMMRAMA where other people can see it. That includes worlds you publish to other players, images and audio you upload for your worlds, character and world names, and any text you submit through a shared or public surface.It does not restrict what you do in your own private, single-player game, or in a world you host on your own computer and keep to yourself. What you play alone is yours.
2. The short version
Share things you would be comfortable having a stranger's child stumble across in a fantasy adventure game. If you are unsure, it probably needs a second thought.3. What is not allowed
Sexual content involving minors, in any form. This includes drawings, generated images, text, and any depiction whatsoever, however stylised. There are no exceptions, no artistic-merit carve-out, and no ambiguity here. Material of this kind is removed, the account is terminated, and it is reported to the authorities.Sexual content generally. IMMRAMA is not a venue for pornography or explicit sexual material, including in text.
Content that targets real people. Do not upload or share material that harasses, threatens, impersonates, or reveals private information about a real person, living or dead.
Hate and dehumanisation. Content that attacks or degrades people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation is not permitted, in-world framing included.
Real-world violence and harm. Do not share material glorifying real atrocities, promoting self-harm or suicide, or providing instructions for causing physical harm. Fantasy violence within the fiction is expected and fine; this is about the real world.
Material you have no right to share. Do not upload work belonging to someone else - art, music, writing, or trademarked material - without the right to use it.
Attempts to break the service or other players' experience. This includes attempts to compromise the software, to circumvent moderation, or to use shared worlds to advertise, phish, or defraud.
4. Fantasy content, and where the line falls
IMMRAMA is a game of voyages, monsters, curses, and consequence. Peril, dread, morally difficult choices, and violence against fictional beings are part of the form and are welcome.The line is not "dark" versus "light." The line is whether the material sexualises children, targets real people, or serves real-world harm. A grim world is welcome. A world built to hurt someone is not.
5. Review before sharing
Worlds and media shared with other players are reviewed before they become visible to anyone else. Until a world is approved, you keep full access to it yourself - nothing is taken from you, and nothing is deleted while it waits.Review exists so that what one player publishes to others has been looked at by a human first. It is not a judgement of your creative work.
6. Reporting, and what happens next
Every shared world and uploaded image has a report option. Anyone can use it; you do not need an account. Tell us what you are reporting and, briefly, why.Reported material is taken out of public view while it is re-reviewed. We review reports as promptly as we are able, and we prioritise reports concerning minors, real-person harm, and threats above everything else. We do not promise a fixed response time we could not honour.
If we act on a report, the material stops being visible to others. If we do not, it goes back to where it was.
7. Consequences
Depending on what we find, we may: leave the content in review, remove it from public view, remove it entirely, restrict an account's ability to share or upload, or terminate an account.Content that appears to involve the sexual exploitation of children is removed from public view, preserved as required, reported to the appropriate authorities, and the account is terminated.
We generally aim to act proportionately, and to tell you why - but we will act decisively where people, and especially children, are at risk.
8. Appeals
If you believe we acted wrongly, reply to the notice you received and say so. We will look again. We are a small studio and we would rather correct a mistake than defend one.9. Changes
This policy will change as the game grows and as we learn where it is unclear. Material changes will be announced through the game's usual channels.10. Contact

This policy covers the IMMRAMA Android app, the web client at game.techduinnin.com, and the desktop build.
The short version
We collect the account you create, what you type and say to the game, and the technical records a server needs to run. The game is powered by AI models we do not own, so the things you type and say are sent to third-party AI providers to generate the story. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.What we collect, and why
Account information- Username and password. Required to create an account. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
- Email address, optional. Registration accepts a blank email. If you provide one it is used only for account recovery and service messages.
- Typed commands and messages. Stored server-side as your character's game state and history, and sent to AI providers to generate responses.
- Voice input. If you use the microphone button, your speech is captured and converted to text. On Android and in Chrome this transcription is performed by Google's speech recognition service, not by us. The audio leaves your device and is sent to Google, and we receive only the resulting text. We do not record, store, or have access to the raw audio. Voice input is entirely optional: the microphone is only accessed after you grant permission and tap the microphone button, and the game is fully playable by typing.
- If you upload images or other assets for your worlds, they are stored in our object storage (Cloudflare R2) and are subject to automated and manual content moderation before being served.
- If you attach your own API key with the byok command, we store it on your account so your AI calls can be billed to you rather than to us. It is stored server-side and shown back to you only as its last four characters. You can remove it at any time with byok clear. See "Security" below for how it is stored.
- IP address, request metadata and timestamps, in server logs and for abuse and rate-limiting.
- Session cookies, required to keep you signed in.
- We do not use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking pixels. The Android app contains no advertising or analytics SDK.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.Google (Gemini)
- What they receive: Game text you type, and character/world context
- Why: Generates narration, dialogue, images and speech
Google (Speech Recognition)
- What they receive: Your voice audio, when you use voice input
- Why: Converts speech to text, on-device platform behaviour
Anthropic
- What they receive: Game text, on fallback paths where used
- Why: Generates narration/dialogue
OpenAI
- What they receive: Only if you configure a custom endpoint or key
- Why: Your own configured AI calls
Cloudflare (R2, CDN)
- What they receive: Uploaded assets, static media
- Why: Storage and delivery
Railway, Neon
- What they receive: All server-side data
- Why: Application hosting and database
If you attach your own AI key, calls are billed to your account with that provider and are subject to their privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Account data and game state are kept while your account exists, and are deleted when you delete your account (see "Deleting your account" below). Server logs are kept for a limited operational period and then age out on their normal rotation. Uploaded assets are kept until you or we remove them. Backups may retain a copy for a limited period after deletion before rotating out.We have deliberately not published fixed retention periods in days or months yet, because we would rather state a period we actually enforce than one we do not. Setting and enforcing specific periods is planned work. If you want your data gone sooner, you can delete your account at any time and it happens immediately.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account and data. See "Deleting your account" below.
- Play without voice. Decline or revoke the microphone permission. The game is fully playable by typing.
- Use your own AI key, so your prompts go to your own provider account.
- Play without AI at all. The game includes a deterministic mode that calls no AI model, and a local mode that runs a model on your own device so your text never reaches an AI provider.
- Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these, contact developer@techduinnin.com.
Deleting your account
If you can sign in: go to Delete my account (https://game.techduinnin.com/account/delete/), or use the "Delete my account" link at the bottom of your dashboard. Confirm with your password and it happens immediately. There is no waiting period and no undo.If you cannot sign in: email developer@techduinnin.com from the address associated with your account, or include your IMMRAMA username so we can verify ownership. We aim to action such requests within 30 days.
Deleting your account removes your account record, your characters and their progress, any images or world assets you uploaded (including the copies in our object storage and CDN), and any AI key you attached with byok.
Server logs containing your IP address are not deleted on request; they age out on the normal operational retention cycle, and backups may retain a copy for a limited period before rotating out. Content you contributed to a shared world that other players still use may remain in that world.
Full details: Deleting your account (https://game.techduinnin.com/legal/delete-account/).
Children
IMMRAMA is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The game generates AI content and supports user-created worlds, and is intended for teen and adult players.Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/WSS). Passwords are stored hashed. Access to production systems is limited to the operator.About your own AI key, stated plainly. If you attach an API key with the byok command on the hosted service, that key is currently stored as an ordinary account attribute. It is not encrypted by the application itself, and relies on the protections of the underlying database and hosting provider. We are telling you this rather than implying protection we have not built. Application-layer encryption of stored keys is planned work. In the meantime:
- You can remove your key at any time with byok clear.
- Prefer a key you can rotate and scope, and rotate it if you have any concern.
- If you would rather we never hold your key at all, use an installed build,
No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee that any system is immune from unauthorized access.
Changes
We will update this policy as the game changes, and will revise the "Last updated" date above.Contact
Tech Duinnin LLC - developer@techduinnin.com - 5900 Balcones Drive, STE 100, Austin, TX 78731APPENDIX C - AI DISCLOSURE
A disclosure of product behavior, provided under Section 1.This is an interim version, last updated 2026-08-27. It describes how the
game uses AI today and is revised as the models, providers, and safety systems
change. It explains our design and intent; it is not a warranty about any
particular output. The binding terms are in the
End User License Agreement (https://game.techduinnin.com/legal/eula/).
IMMRAMA is a single-player narrative role-playing game that uses generative AI ("large language models," or LLMs) to bring its world to life. This page explains, in plain language, how that works and what protections are in place.
Why the game uses AI
Rather than a fixed script, IMMRAMA's narrator, non-player characters, and combat narration are produced (or edited) at the moment you play, so that the story can respond to the choices you actually made instead of a small, pre-written branch tree.What "editing" means at the base level
At the base level - the experience every player gets by default, with no setup required - the game does not hand a blank page to an open-ended generator. It retrieves the nearest pre-approved, hand-authored passage for the current situation and has a small model perform a narrow, bounded edit over that passage (for example: substituting the correct name, tense, or recent event) rather than writing new prose from nothing. The intent of this design is that the base tier never needs to generate arbitrary raw text - only to adjust vetted text to fit the moment.Tiers: managed vs. self-supplied AI
Deterministic (no AI)- What it means: The game plays from hand-authored content and rules, calling no AI model at all.
- Who controls the model: Nobody. No model runs.
Managed (default)
- What it means: You play with no setup. Tech Duinnin's service relays your AI calls to third-party AI providers, under agreements we hold with them. We do not run the models ourselves, and we operate no inference hardware.
- Who controls the model: The third-party provider runs the model; Tech Duinnin chooses and configures which one
BYOK (bring your own key)
- What it means: You supply your own API key for a third-party AI provider (for example, an account you already pay for).
- Who controls the model: You, as that provider's customer
Local
- What it means: You run an AI model on your own machine - a small CPU model, a larger downloaded GPU model, or a local server such as Ollama.
- Who controls the model: You, entirely on your own device
If you choose BYOK or Local, you are stepping outside the managed path. See EULA.md Section 10 for what that means for billing, terms, and responsibility. The deterministic tier needs no AI provider at all, so nothing you type on it is sent anywhere for generation.
Current models and providers
The EULA deliberately names no vendors, so that a backend change never requires re-accepting the contract; this section and the Privacy Policy are the live list instead. As of 2026-08-26: the managed tier relays to Google (Gemini), with Anthropic (Claude) on some fallback paths. The local tier downloads third-party open-weight models such as the Qwen family, including optional speech models on voice-capable builds. BYOK provider presets currently include DeepSeek, Alibaba Cloud (Qwen), Zhipu, and OpenRouter, plus custom endpoints such as a server you host yourself (for example, a llama.cpp-based server or Ollama).Safety layers
The base/managed experience relies on the safety filtering built into our managed AI provider's service, plus our own prompt-level constraints that keep the narrator on-topic and editing vetted text rather than generating freely.When you opt into BYOK or Local, Tech Duinnin no longer controls the provider's own infrastructure or its network-side filtering, so an additional layer of protection activates specifically for that tier, because it is standing in for guarantees that only existed on the managed path:
- Deterministic trajectory checks. Plain, non-AI Python logic tracks the recent conversation and watches for a multi-turn escalation pattern (sometimes called a "Crescendo" attack) where no single message crosses a line but the trend across several messages does, including a rising mention count of third-party franchise or character names.
- A dedicated safety-classification model. A purpose-built AI safety model screens generated output for unsafe categories before it is shown to you. This is a genuine additional layer, not a claim of perfection: like any classifier, it reduces risk rather than eliminating it, and it is never the only layer protecting you.
- Strict prompt anchoring. The instructions given to the model explicitly state the content boundaries for the game and make clear that retrieved world lore is content to narrate, never an instruction that can override those boundaries.
What the game's safety checks are built to refuse, at any tier
Regardless of which tier you use, the game's automated safety checks are built to refuse the following categories of content. These are the categories the systems target; as the section below says, no filter catches everything:- Exploitation or sexualization of minors, in any form.
- Impersonation or defamation of a real, identifiable living person.
- Hate or harassment targeting a protected group.
- Instruction or promotion of self-harm or suicide.
- Explicit sexual content.
No human review of private play
IMMRAMA is single-player. We do not have staff read, sample, or moderate the private narrative content generated during your individual playthrough - see EULA.md Section 12 for the full commitment. The safety layers above are automated specifically so that private play can stay private while still being screened.What this document is not
This document describes the design and intent of the game's safety architecture. It is not a warranty. Automated filtering reduces risk; it does not eliminate it. No classifier catches everything, filters can also stop harmless content by mistake, and AI-generated text can still be wrong, inconsistent, or unexpected. The binding disclaimers are in the EULA (https://game.techduinnin.com/legal/eula/), particularly Sections 5 and 17.Which safety layers are active depends on the tier you choose and on the build you are running. The additional layers described above for the BYOK and local tiers are being rolled out with those tiers, so a specific version may have more or fewer of them active than this page describes. On the BYOK and local tiers in particular, the model runs on infrastructure we do not operate, and we cannot guarantee behavior there equivalent to the managed tier.
If you find output that seems to have slipped past these checks, please tell us at developer@techduinnin.com. Reporting it never counts against you or your account.
APPENDIX D - DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT
Reference information.You can delete your IMMRAMA account and its data at any time. There are two ways, depending on whether you can still sign in.
If you can sign in (fastest)
- Step one. Sign in at game.techduinnin.com (https://game.techduinnin.com/).
- Step two. Go to Delete my account (https://game.techduinnin.com/account/delete/), or use the "Delete my account" link at the bottom of your dashboard.
- Step three. Confirm with your password.
If you cannot sign in
Email developer@techduinnin.com from the address associated with your account. If you never gave us an email address, include your IMMRAMA username and we will verify ownership before deleting anything.We aim to action deletion requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials
- Your characters and all of their progress
- Any images or world assets you uploaded, including the copies held in our
- Any AI provider key you attached with the byok command
What does not get deleted immediately
Server logs containing technical records such as your IP address are not deleted on request; they age out on the normal operational retention cycle. Backups may retain a copy for a limited period before rotating out.Content you contributed to a shared world that other players are still using may remain in that world after your account is gone, in the same way that a post in a shared space does not vanish when its author leaves. Contact us if this is a concern for a specific world.
See the Privacy Policy (https://game.techduinnin.com/legal/privacy/) for what we collect and why.
