This End User Licence Agreement (“EULA”) governs your access to and use of the video game **International Trading League**, including any related software, multiplayer features, online services, servers, websites, updates, patches, documentation, game content and related services (together, the “Game”).
This EULA is entered into between you (“you”, “your”, “User” or “Player”) and:
**Dennis Michael Heine**
Amselweg 4
70794 Filderstadt
Germany
Email: [info@dennis-heine.de](mailto:info@dennis-heine.de)
(“we”, “us”, “our” or the “Developer”).
By installing, accessing, launching or using the Game, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, you must not install, access or use the Game.
---
## 1. Scope of this EULA
This EULA applies to the Game and all related online and multiplayer features operated by us or on our behalf.
Additional terms may apply if you obtain the Game through a third-party platform, storefront or launcher, such as Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, itch.io, console platforms or mobile app stores. Those third-party terms apply in addition to this EULA. If there is a conflict regarding platform-specific functions, payment processing, refunds, achievements, cloud saves, friends lists or platform accounts, the applicable platform terms may prevail for those platform-specific matters.
This EULA does not replace mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
---
## 2. Licence Grant
Subject to your compliance with this EULA, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to install and use the Game for your personal entertainment purposes.
This licence does not transfer ownership of the Game or any intellectual property rights to you. The Game is licensed, not sold.
You may use the Game only in accordance with this EULA, applicable laws, platform rules and any reasonable technical requirements communicated by us or the relevant platform.
---
## 3. Multiplayer and Online Services
International Trading League is a multiplayer game. Certain features may require an internet connection, access to our servers or access to third-party platform services.
Multiplayer and online features may include, for example:
* player accounts or profiles;
* matchmaking, lobbies or game sessions;
* leaderboards, rankings or leagues;
* chat, messages or other communication features;
* player names, city names, guild names or similar identifiers;
* reports, moderation tools and anti-abuse systems;
* online progression, statistics or save synchronisation;
* seasonal events, balancing changes or server-side updates.
We may operate, modify, suspend or discontinue online services where reasonable, including for maintenance, security, technical reasons, legal reasons, balancing, anti-cheat enforcement or changes in player activity.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of multiplayer servers, matchmaking, leaderboards or other online functions.
---
## 4. Accounts and Player Identity
Some features may require an account, platform account or player profile. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs through your account, unless the activity was caused by circumstances outside your control.
You must provide accurate information where required and must not impersonate another person, organisation, developer, moderator or administrator.
You must not sell, rent, share, transfer or commercially exploit your account, player profile, progression, rankings, in-game assets or access to multiplayer services unless expressly permitted by us in writing.
We may require you to change a player name, city name, guild name or other identifier if it violates this EULA, infringes third-party rights, is misleading, offensive, abusive, illegal or otherwise unsuitable for the Game community.
---
## 5. Age Requirements
You may use the Game only if you are legally permitted to do so in your country of residence and meet any applicable age rating or platform age requirement.
If you are a minor, you may use the Game only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian where such consent is required by law. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising the use of the Game by minors under their care.
---
## 6. Fair Play and Multiplayer Conduct
You agree to play fairly and respectfully. Multiplayer features are intended to provide a competitive but fair citybuilding, production and trade experience.
You must not:
1. cheat, exploit bugs, manipulate the Game client, manipulate network traffic or use unauthorised software;
2. use bots, scripts, automation tools, macros or other tools that provide an unfair advantage;
3. reverse engineer server communications or interfere with matchmaking, rankings, league systems or game economy systems;
4. intentionally disconnect, disrupt, overload or attack servers or other players’ connections;
5. abuse bugs, exploits, duplication methods or balancing errors;
6. harass, threaten, stalk, bully, defame or abuse other players;
7. use hateful, racist, sexist, extremist, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent or otherwise unlawful content;
8. publish personal data of other players or third parties without permission;
9. impersonate another player, moderator, administrator, developer or public figure;
10. engage in fraud, phishing, scams, account theft or social engineering;
11. manipulate rankings, matches, trades, alliances, guilds, markets or league outcomes through prohibited coordination, exploit abuse or artificial behaviour;
12. advertise unrelated goods or services, spam, flood chat or misuse communication systems;
13. upload or transmit malware, harmful code or unlawful material;
14. use the Game for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
We may define further gameplay rules, fair-play policies, event rules or code-of-conduct rules inside the Game, on the website or through official community channels. Such rules form part of this EULA where they are made available to you.
---
## 7. Anti-Cheat, Security and Abuse Prevention
To protect fair multiplayer gameplay, technical integrity and the Game community, we may use reasonable anti-cheat, anti-fraud, logging, moderation and security measures.
These measures may include checking game files, detecting unauthorised modifications, reviewing server-side logs, analysing suspicious gameplay patterns, detecting automated behaviour, monitoring reports and applying technical restrictions.
Anti-cheat and security measures must be proportionate and are used to protect legitimate interests such as fair competition, server security, prevention of abuse and enforcement of this EULA.
More information about personal data processing is provided in the Privacy Policy.
You must not attempt to bypass, disable, interfere with or mislead anti-cheat, moderation, logging or security systems.
---
## 8. User Content
The Game may allow you to create, submit, upload, display or share content, such as player names, city names, guild names, messages, chat content, trade route names, custom descriptions, screenshots, feedback, bug reports or other material (“User Content”).
You retain any rights you may have in your User Content. However, by submitting or making User Content available through the Game, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, moderate, adapt, transmit and otherwise use that User Content as necessary to operate, promote, secure and improve the Game and related services.
You are responsible for your User Content. You must ensure that your User Content:
* does not violate applicable law;
* does not infringe intellectual property rights, privacy rights, personality rights or other rights of third parties;
* is not defamatory, hateful, threatening, discriminatory, sexually explicit, extremist, fraudulent or otherwise harmful;
* does not contain malware, spam or deceptive content;
* does not disclose personal data of others without a lawful basis.
We may remove, restrict, block or modify User Content where reasonable, including if it violates this EULA, applicable law, platform rules, community standards or third-party rights.
---
## 9. Moderation, Reports and Enforcement
We may moderate multiplayer spaces, player names, chat, rankings, guilds, reports and other online features.
Moderation may be performed by human review, automated tools or a combination of both. Automated tools may help identify spam, cheating, abusive language, suspicious behaviour or security risks.
If we determine that you have violated this EULA, applicable laws, platform rules or community rules, we may take reasonable action, including:
* warning you;
* removing or changing User Content;
* resetting progress, rankings, league points or trade outcomes affected by misconduct;
* restricting chat or communication features;
* temporarily suspending multiplayer access;
* permanently banning an account or device from online services;
* reporting unlawful conduct to competent authorities where legally required or appropriate;
* taking technical measures to protect the Game, servers and players.
Where reasonable and legally required, we will consider the severity, frequency, context and impact of the violation before applying enforcement measures.
If your access is restricted or your content is removed, you may contact us at [info@dennis-heine.de](mailto:info@dennis-heine.de) to request a review, unless doing so would compromise security, expose detection methods, endanger other users or conflict with legal obligations.
---
## 10. Game Economy, Rankings and Balancing
International Trading League may include simulated production chains, trade routes, city economies, market demand, leagues, rankings, rewards or progression systems.
You acknowledge that these systems may be changed for balancing, fairness, technical reasons, game design reasons, anti-cheat reasons or seasonal updates.
We may adjust values, reset limited-time rankings, rebalance goods, routes, production chains, rewards, leaderboards or other gameplay systems. Such changes do not create a claim for compensation unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
You must not exploit economy systems, trade mechanics, league rules or ranking systems in a way that undermines fair play or the intended design of the Game.
---
## 11. Updates, Patches and Changes
We may provide patches, updates, hotfixes, balancing changes, new features, removals, server-side changes or technical modifications.
Some updates may be required to continue using the Game or accessing multiplayer features. If you do not install required updates, the Game or online services may not function properly or may become unavailable.
Updates may change gameplay, balance, compatibility, user interface, features, technical requirements or online functionality.
Mandatory consumer rights regarding digital products, updates and conformity remain unaffected.
---
## 12. Third-Party Services and Platforms
The Game may use or interact with third-party services, including hosting providers, game platforms, storefronts, matchmaking infrastructure, payment processors, analytics providers, crash reporting tools, voice or chat services, anti-cheat providers or community platforms.
Third-party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
If third-party services become unavailable, change their terms, restrict access or discontinue support, this may affect certain Game features.
---
## 13. Purchases, Virtual Items and Additional Content
If the Game or a platform offers paid versions, downloadable content, expansions, subscriptions, virtual currency, cosmetic items or other digital content, the purchase process may be handled by the relevant platform or payment provider.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, virtual items, in-game currency, cosmetic items, progression items or similar digital content have no real-world monetary value, are not redeemable for money and may not be sold, traded, transferred or exchanged outside authorised Game systems.
Refunds, withdrawal rights and cancellation rights are governed by applicable law and, where relevant, by the terms of the platform or store through which the purchase was made.
Nothing in this EULA limits mandatory consumer rights.
---
## 14. Intellectual Property Rights
The Game, including software, source code, object code, artwork, music, sounds, user interface, text, logos, trade marks, trade names, characters, game systems, production chains, maps, visual design, databases, animations and all related content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws.
You may not:
* copy, reproduce, distribute or publicly display the Game except as permitted by this EULA;
* modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works from the Game;
* decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code, except where mandatory law expressly allows it;
* remove copyright notices, trade marks or other proprietary notices;
* use Game assets for commercial purposes without permission;
* use the Game in a way that suggests endorsement by us without permission.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
---
## 15. Feedback and Suggestions
If you provide ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, balance proposals or other feedback, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction, compensation or obligation to you.
You acknowledge that we may already be developing similar ideas or may independently develop similar features.
---
## 16. Streaming, Videos and Community Content
Unless we publish a separate creator policy, you may create and share non-commercial gameplay videos, streams, screenshots, reviews and commentary, provided that you comply with this EULA, do not misrepresent the Game, do not use unlawful or infringing content and follow the rules of the platform on which you publish.
Commercial use, sponsorship integrations, paid promotions, merchandise, asset extraction, soundtrack distribution or use of Game content outside gameplay coverage may require prior written permission.
We may ask you to remove content that violates this EULA, infringes rights, discloses confidential material, promotes cheating or harms the Game community.
---
## 17. Privacy
Your use of the Game and related services may involve the processing of personal data, especially for multiplayer functionality, server logs, player accounts, moderation, reports, security, anti-cheat and support.
Details are provided in the applicable Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains, among other things, who the controller is, what data may be processed, the purposes and legal bases of processing, retention periods, recipients, hosting providers and your rights under data protection law.
If the Game later includes additional services such as accounts, analytics, newsletters, forums, payment systems, cloud saves or external integrations, the Privacy Policy must be updated accordingly.
---
## 18. Warranty and Consumer Rights
The Game is provided in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the platform through which you obtained it.
If you are a consumer, you may have mandatory statutory rights regarding digital products, conformity, updates, defects, remedies, withdrawal rights or refunds. Nothing in this EULA limits or excludes such mandatory rights.
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to mandatory consumer protection rights, we do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every system, free of bugs, available at all times or suitable for every individual expectation.
Multiplayer features may depend on internet access, servers, platform services and technical compatibility.
---
## 19. Liability
Nothing in this EULA limits or excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, mandatory statutory liability, fraudulent concealment, guaranteed characteristics or liability under the German Product Liability Act where applicable.
In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations whose fulfilment enables proper use of the Game and on whose compliance you may regularly rely. In such cases, liability is limited to typical, foreseeable damage.
Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The above limitations also apply to our legal representatives, employees, contractors and agents.
Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
---
## 20. Suspension and Termination
This EULA remains in effect until terminated.
You may terminate this EULA by permanently uninstalling the Game and ceasing all use of the Game and related services.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Game or multiplayer services if:
* you materially breach this EULA;
* you cheat, exploit, abuse or disrupt multiplayer services;
* your account is used for unlawful activity;
* continued access would create security, legal or operational risks;
* we discontinue the Game or relevant online services;
* a platform provider requires suspension or termination under its rules.
Upon termination, your licence ends and you must stop using the Game. Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect, including intellectual property, liability, governing law, enforcement, User Content licences already granted and provisions necessary to resolve disputes.
---
## 21. Changes to this EULA
We may update this EULA where reasonable, for example to reflect changes to the Game, multiplayer features, legal requirements, security needs, platform requirements or business operations.
For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Continued use of the Game after an updated EULA becomes effective may require acceptance of the updated terms.
If you do not agree to the updated EULA, you must stop using the Game. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.
---
## 22. Governing Law
This EULA is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
If you are a consumer and live in another country, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected where they cannot be waived by contract.
---
## 23. Dispute Resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, unless a legal obligation applies in a specific case.
You may contact us first so that we can try to resolve the issue directly:

## 24. Severability

---
## 25. Entire Agreement
This EULA, together with any applicable Privacy Policy, platform terms and additional rules made available for the Game, forms the agreement governing your use of the Game.
No oral or written statements outside these terms create additional rights unless expressly agreed in writing by us.
