BITVOXEL END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

Effective Date: June 15, 2026

Please read this End User License Agreement ("Agreement") carefully before installing, downloading, accessing, or playing BITVOXEL (the "Game"). This Agreement is between you and the developer and publisher of BITVOXEL ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our").

By installing, downloading, accessing, or playing the Game, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install, download, access, or play the Game.

1. License

Subject to this Agreement and the rules of the platform where you obtained the Game, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and play the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment use.

This is a license, not a sale. We and our licensors retain all ownership rights in the Game, including its code, artwork, audio, design, trademarks, names, and other intellectual property, except for user-created content described below.

2. Steam And Platform Terms

If you access the Game through Steam, your use of Steam is also governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and any applicable Steam rules, policies, and platform features. If there is a conflict between this Agreement and mandatory Steam platform rules for Steam services, the Steam platform rules control for those Steam services.

3. Restrictions

You may not:

- Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit copies of the Game, except as expressly allowed by the platform where you obtained it.
- Copy, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game, except where applicable law expressly allows it.
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other ownership notices.
- Use the Game or its services to upload, share, or create unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, abusive, obscene, or malicious content.
- Interfere with the Game, Steam services, other players, leaderboards, or any connected systems.

4. User-Created Content

The Game may allow you to create, save, name, copy, export, share, or otherwise use worlds, circuits, components, screenshots, videos, scores, leaderboard entries, and similar content ("User Content").

You own the original parts of your User Content, subject to our ownership of the Game and its underlying assets, tools, code, and systems. You are responsible for your User Content and must make sure you have the rights needed to create and share it.

If you upload, publish, submit, or otherwise make User Content available through the Game, Steam, or our official channels, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, reproduce, modify for technical operation, distribute, promote, and use that User Content for operating, improving, marketing, and supporting the Game. This license ends when your User Content is deleted from our active systems, except that backup, archival, legal, moderation, and already-published uses may continue where reasonably necessary.

We may remove, hide, disable, or refuse User Content that we believe violates this Agreement, platform rules, law, or the rights of others.

5. Screenshots, Videos, Streams, And Community Content

You may create, post, stream, and monetize screenshots, gameplay videos, livestreams, tutorials, reviews, and similar community content featuring the Game, as long as your content does not imply that it is official, does not include unlawful or infringing material, and follows the rules of the platform where you post it.

6. Saves, Achievements, Leaderboards, And Online Features

The Game may use local saves, Steam Cloud, Steam achievements, Steam stats, Steam leaderboards, or similar platform features. These features may store or transmit gameplay-related data such as progress, unlocked achievements, world information, challenge results, scores, block counts, or display names.

Do not submit false, manipulated, automated, or exploit-based leaderboard entries or achievement data. We may reset, remove, hide, or disregard data that appears to be invalid, abusive, or generated through cheating or tampering.

7. Updates And Changes

We may update, patch, rebalance, add, remove, or change Game features, content, compatibility, saves, progression, achievements, leaderboards, online functionality, and technical requirements. Some updates may be required to continue using platform features or online services.

We do not promise that every previous save, world, component, mod, build, or workaround will remain compatible with every future version of the Game.

8. Mods And Tools

Unless we separately release official modding tools, documentation, or Workshop support, the Game does not include an official modding license. Personal experimentation is allowed only to the extent permitted by applicable law and platform rules, and only if it does not violate this Agreement, bypass access controls, infringe rights, or interfere with services.

If we later provide official tools, Workshop support, or modding rules, those additional terms may apply.

9. Third-Party Software And Services

The Game may include or interact with third-party software, libraries, drivers, SDKs, platform services, or runtime components, including Steamworks and graphics/audio/runtime components. Third-party components may be governed by their own licenses and terms.

You are responsible for maintaining compatible hardware, drivers, operating system updates, and platform software needed to run the Game.

10. No Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every system, or free from data loss, bugs, crashes, or other defects.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost saves, lost User Content, business interruption, hardware or software issues, or inability to use the Game.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Game or this Agreement will not exceed the amount you paid for the Game in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Termination

This Agreement begins when you install, download, access, or play the Game and continues until terminated. You may terminate it by uninstalling the Game and stopping all use of it.

We may terminate or suspend your license if you violate this Agreement, violate applicable platform rules, misuse Game systems, cheat, infringe rights, or use the Game unlawfully. After termination, you must stop using the Game and delete any copies in your possession, except where the platform where you obtained the Game allows otherwise.

13. Refunds

Purchases and refunds are handled by the platform or store where you obtained the Game. For Steam purchases, Steam's refund policies apply.

14. Changes To This Agreement

We may update this Agreement when needed, including for legal, platform, technical, or Game feature changes. If we make a material change, we will make the updated Agreement available through a reasonable method, such as the Steam store page, the Game, or our official channels.

Your continued use of the Game after an updated Agreement becomes effective means you accept the updated Agreement. If you do not agree, stop using the Game.

15. Contact

For support, legal notices, or questions about this Agreement, use the official support or contact channels listed on the BITVOXEL Steam store page or our official website.
