END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
==================================
WinGrid
Please read this before using WinGrid. By installing or using WinGrid,
you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the
software.
1. What WinGrid is
------------------
WinGrid is a Windows window management and display scaling utility. It
helps you move, resize, scale, and preview windows using normal Windows
features and APIs.
WinGrid is not a cheat, injector, bot, driver, memory editor, or tool
for reading or changing another process memory.
WinGrid is a Windows-only desktop application and relies on standard
Windows components such as the Desktop Window Manager (DWM) and
Microsoft Edge WebView2.
WinGrid also includes an optional "Squash" mode that, on NVIDIA graphics
cards only, uses NVIDIA's NvAPI to create a custom display resolution (a
display-mode change) so an application can render at one resolution and be
shown squeezed or stretched into another. This feature changes display settings
on your system. It is applied as a temporary trial that reverts
automatically unless you confirm it, but, as with any display-mode change,
behavior depends on your monitor, GPU, and drivers (see "No guarantees").
2. Your license
---------------
When you get WinGrid through Steam, you receive a personal license to
install and use it on devices you own or control, according to Steam's
rules and this agreement.
You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, modify, reverse engineer,
or remove ownership notices from WinGrid, except where the law clearly
allows it.
3. Your responsibility
----------------------
You are responsible for how and where you use WinGrid.
Some games, platforms, workplaces, anti-cheat systems, or other apps
may have their own rules about display utilities, overlays, window
tools, hotkeys, or scaling software. Before using WinGrid with any
third-party app or service, you should check that app's rules and terms.
If another app, game, platform, anti-cheat, service, or administrator
does not allow this kind of tool, do not use WinGrid with it.
4. No guarantees
----------------
WinGrid is provided as-is. I try to make it stable and useful, but I
cannot guarantee that it will work perfectly on every PC, monitor,
driver, Windows update, game, platform, or protected environment.
Window behavior can change because of Windows updates, graphics driver
updates, game updates, anti-cheat updates, monitor settings, fullscreen
modes, or other software on your PC.
5. Responsibility for consequences
----------------------------------
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the author is not responsible for
problems caused by your use or misuse of WinGrid, including account
restrictions, bans, suspensions, lost progress, lost data, lost time,
lost money, hardware/software issues, or conflicts with third-party
apps and services.
In simple words: WinGrid is a tool. You choose where to use it, and you
accept responsibility for that choice.
Nothing in this agreement removes consumer rights that you legally have
under your local law or under the Steam Subscriber Agreement.
6. Refunds
----------
Refunds are handled by Steam under the Steam Refund Policy:
https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds
7. Privacy and third-party components
-------------------------------------
WinGrid does not collect personal data for the developer. The interface
renders using fonts already present on your system, and the launcher may
download a required Microsoft runtime if one is missing. See
PRIVACY_POLICY.txt for the full privacy and network details.
WinGrid includes open-source and third-party components. See
THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt for their licenses and notices.
8. Updates
----------
This agreement may be updated with new releases of WinGrid. If you keep
using WinGrid after an update, you accept the updated terms.
9. Contact
----------
