This End User License Agreement (EULA) governs use of the Proyecto Jacky desktop software (the "Software"), published by Alejandro Omar Lopez Perez (the "Licensor"). By installing, copying, or using the Software, you accept this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software. Website terms (Workshop, accounts, etc.) are in the Terms & Conditions; this document applies to the desktop client.

Subject to this EULA, the Licensor grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable (except as allowed by the storefront where you purchased), revocable license to install and use the Software on devices you control, for personal or household use, or as expressly authorized by the relevant storefront (e.g. Steam or Itch.io).

The Software, its code, sprites, animations, audio, voice lines, UI copy, trademarks, and related assets are owned by the Licensor or its licensors. This EULA does not transfer ownership. The commercial name "Proyecto Jacky" and copyright / trademark notices must be preserved. Third-party components (e.g. Qt / PySide6 under LGPL) are governed by their own licenses; notices ship with the Software and under Settings → About → Legal.

Portions of Proyecto Jacky's official visual appearance and skins were created with EmoteLab. The Licensor uses that Output under the EmoteLab EULA. This does not grant Jacky users any rights in EmoteLab's Built-in Assets or in the EmoteLab software.

Except where mandatory local law says otherwise, you may not:

• Redistribute, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise make the Software available outside storefronts or channels authorized by the Licensor (e.g. Steam, Itch.io, jacky.club).
  
• Rebrand, white-label, or resell the Software (or a derived build) as your own or a third party's product.
  
• Remove, obscure, or alter copyright, trademark, CMI, or other legal notices included in the Software or its metadata.
  
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software for the purpose of creating a competing redistribution or substitute product, to the extent local law does not give you a non-waivable right to do so.
  
• Circumvent storefront entitlement checks (DLC, licenses) or misrepresent the publisher's identity.

Official copies of Proyecto Jacky are distributed only through channels authorized by the Licensor (currently Steam as the primary channel, and Itch.io / jacky.club when announced). Unsigned or third-party redistributed builds are not official.

The Licensor may provide updates, patches, or additional content, and is not obligated to maintain the Software indefinitely. Support is provided on a best-effort basis.

Social features, Workshop, online cosmetics, or other network services may require Steam, an account, or connectivity to jacky.club and are subject to those platforms' additional terms. The offline companion core may continue to work when those services are unavailable, as designed.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from use or inability to use the Software.

This EULA terminates automatically if you breach it. Upon termination you must stop using the Software and destroy copies in your possession, without prejudice to refund rights under the storefront where you purchased.
